Description: Chosen by Yankee Magazine as one of the best attractions in New England...
Chosen by Yankee Magazine as one of the best attractions in New England, Queen City Ghostwalk offers up plenty of history, mystery and spooky fun. Tour creator Thea Lewis, author of "Haunted Burlington: Spirits of Vermont's Queen City", "Ghosts and Legends of Lake Champlain", and "Haunted Inns and Ghostly Getaways of Vermont", is renowned as the area's foremost authority on Burlington's ghostly lore. She brings guests on a journey back in time, introduces them to local legends, and paints a chilling picture of Burlington long ago. Tours include Burlington's downtown, wicked waterfront, local cemeteries, and spirits at the University of Vermont. Tickets for all tours are available at FlynnTix Regional Box Office.

My husband and I love this kind of stuff, but this tour was sort of lackluster. It started at 8:00pm, which in the summer means it's still light out. It only lasted an hour so it was just barely starting to get dark as we finished up. Sort of took away some of the spooky aspect. It was a walking... More

Gentle Guest, We must admit, we are more than confounded by your review, since your headline remarks we are both interesting AND boring at the same time. It is true, for the convenience and comfort of the majority of our guests, our summer tours begin at 8pm, and run for over an hour, since there is always an opportunity for... More

The tour was great! Got to learn a lot of cool facts about the city and its ghostly past. Only wish the tour (darkness falls) took you into some of the buildings...or the tunnels.

It's true, since we are a walking tour not a museum tour, we do not venture inside our haunted hot spots. You can visit some of the public locations by day, though, and it is an interesting perspective for those who do. It was delightful getting the chance to show you around our Queen City. Your group was quite receptive,... More

Glad the rain finally tapered off to a spooky drizzle, and so happy you had a good time. It was grand showing you the darker side of the Queen City. Many thanks for your kind review! ~Thea More

I only wish the tour was longer! Thea was great she answered questions and knew her history. She carried a microphone so everyone could hear her and about 1/2 way through the tour she stopped in an alcove for us to sit and rest while she continued the stories.

My husband surprised me with tickets for the Darkness Falls tour and neither of us had any idea for what we were in for. Thea is so passionate and knowledgeable about all things Burlington - not the mention the amount of history she has on this old city. We had a great time and really learned a lot, I would... More

I just got back from the Queen City Ghostwalk Black Shamrock Haunted Bus tour, most informative both historically and paranormally. Excellent spooky fun. I highly recommend the Ghostwalk for anyone interested in the history and hauntings of Burlington.

My husband and I attended the Queen City Ghostwalk over the weekend and I can't believe how perfect it turned out to be to get us into the Halloween spirit! Thea Lewis, our tour guide, was amazing and had a fantastic presence with the group. The tour was so informative, yet completely entertaining, which is rare for a historical tour.... More

Here's how much I enjoy Thea's tours: I've been on the Darkness Falls tour twice, and the Ghosts of UVM tour once, and I plan to join the Graveside Gatherings and Wicked Waterfront tours in future. On my second Darkness Falls tour, Thea had learned and incorporated new information since the first, which is a sign of how passionate she... More

Thea does a lovely tour throughout Burlington. I've lived here all my life and never realized the rich history I was missing out on. A perfect fall evening with my family, we are already looking forward to choosing another one of her tours
