Creator Thea Lewis, author of "Haunted Burlington: Spirits of Vermont's Queen City" and "Ghosts and Legends of Lake Champlain", has been called the area's foremost authority on Burlington's ghostly lore. She's been treating locals and visitors to an intriguing look at the Queen City's fascinating haunted history since 2002. Through tales of heroism, tragedy, and madness, Lewis takes guests on a journey back in time, introduces them to local legends, and paints a chilling picture of Burlington long ago. New tours include cemetery walks, Burlington's wicked waterfront, and spirits at the University of Vermont. Tickets for all tours are available at FlynnTix Regional Box Office. « less

If you like being told ghost stories in a great New England town, then this is for you. We started at the city hall park, walked around hearing spooky stories of the towns history. I just let my imagination take me through time.

We are local and have been meaning to do this tour for a while, and finally did! The stories and history are great! So much fun, I am recommending to all my friends! The nip in the air made it even more spooky!

Thea Lewis was our guide and I must say she is a very captivating story teller. I've lived in the area for 18 years and I did not know many of the interesting historical tidbits of downtown Burlington. Also, I have been on other so-called ghost-tours in different cities and she is definitely more credible and interesting than the others.... More

I recommend the Darkness Falls tour to anyone looking for something interesting and out of the ordinary in Burlington. Thea's an engaging presenter and the stories are well told. Our 8 year old daughter had a really great time as well. A really good time.

We went to Burlington last weekend for a music festival. The night before, we were bored and looking for something to do. Considering I'm a ghost tour guide here in PA, we thought it would be nice to check out a different tour. I didn't have high hopes, because I've been on plenty of awful tours, but Thea really impressed... More

I took my 10 and 17 year old on this tour a couple of weeks ago. We went on the Darkness Falls tour with Thea Lewis as our guide. I found Thea to be quite engaging and an excellent story teller. We have been on several ghost tours in other cities and this one, though not our favorite, was interesting.... More

My friend and I bought a deal for this on Jumponit Burlington and we went on the Darkness Falls tour of downtown Burlington. It was very interesting, Thea has a great knowledge of stories around the Burlington area. Definitely got a little creeped out too! We are looking forward to trying out the Graveyard tour in a couple weeks.

My husband and I took advantage of a special for Queen City Ghostwalk and had a great experience. Thea Lewis is so interesting with her information and stories that time for the walk went so fast that of course we want to sign up for some of the other tours. Thea has so much information about Burlington, VT and its... More

Even if you don't believe in ghosts, this is a very good tour. It's really a historical tour of this wonderful little city. The woman who guided us was a very good story teller. Also, it's safe to bring kids along. The guide knew just how to tell a risque story without using language that the kids would understand. If... More

This was my second ghost walk and the two were quite different. This one was filled with local history and stories about things that go bump in the night. Thea is a wonderful storyteller. I just might buy one of her books.
