I've spent so many happy days at Oakledge. It's where I taught my dog how to play frisbee, where I would take a dip on a hot day, jump off a cliff when feeling adventurous, and played softball and kickball many times. It's also a cool spot for snowshoeing and if it's cold enough you can skate right off the... More

This is not an over crowded beach. Its very clean. It runs just off from the bike path .. Off from Flynn Ave. near Pine St. It has a nice picnic area and is under cover.

As an employee of the city, I may be a bit one-sided in my review, but I can say that I have taken many many trips to Oakledge park. I have brought groups of children in all seasons and Seniors in fall and spring. There is a swimming beach, stand up paddling (for a fee) in summer, great views, an... More

We stumbled upon this gem when we went to rent SUPs for the day. Inexpensive day parking rate, bocce courts, beach area, plenty of open space for soccer games or family/friends to gather. Lots of people walking or riding their bikes along the paved paths.

Feels a bit more raw than Water Front where you can find locals bath, sunbath, fish, play various field games or just throw a picnic. Great view of the lake. Don't miss the treehouse ;)

Lots of varied activities here. It is the start of the Island Line Trail which was why we were there. Besides the beach, restrooms and grassy areas, they have a bocce ball court. Plenty of parking.

Furthest point from the trail, so great starting point to ride the entire trail. $ 8 parking for the day. Bathrooms, play area, and sand and grass to enjoy the beach. Rental and stand up paddle board lessons available the day we were there. Although we didn't try it, did hear the instructor being very supportive to two young girls... More

As a UVM student, I hardly came down to Oakledge and I really missed out. Glad to have another chance to see it and utilize the great space. It's a 2 minute walk from where we are staying. My toddler loves to play hide and seek by the Earth Clock, slide at the playground, and swim at the beach. It's... More
