I like to go to Oakledge with a friend to practice yoga in the morning during the summer months. Such a quiet, peaceful start to any day.

This is a nice beach area for the kids to wade in Lake Champlain. The water here was fairly calm, with little to no waves. The water was clear and warm. It also remained fairly shallow (maybe 2 feet deep) for at least 25-50 feet from the shore.

Its nice for BBQ's and there is plenty of shade if you dont like the sun. It doesn't have any sand and the beach is very rocky but the water is crystal clear. It also doesn't have a concession stand.

Of all the parks within a 50 mile radius of B town , this is our favorite. Not too crowded, tennis, horseshoe, pavilions, beach front, plenty of grass to play frisbee, etc. we go here on July 3 for the fireworks. Beat the crowds and noise in downtown.

I have been to Oakledge park on multiple occasions. It is a wonderful place during the fair weather seasons. There are many paths to hike and run. Many of the paths lead to private swimming holes, or wonderful views of Lake Champlain. You can get some of the best views of the lake from this park. There are tennis courts,... More

I've been visiting Oakledge Park for years, since my mom lived within walking distance. The best time to visit is in the summer, you can take full advantage of it's proximity to Lake Champlain. Take a walk along the rocks, and you'll find many that are large flat slabs --- perfect for a picnic, sunbathing, or swimming. The path takes... More

Looking out over beautiful Lake Champlain you can see all the way to the Adiorandak Mountains of New York State on the other side, 12 miles across. In the lake you can see Juniper Island, four miles out, on the Vermont side, and the Four Brothers Islands beyond that. Between Shelburne Point and Juniper Island you can see Rock Dunder,... More

You have to pay to park here, so once you're here, you might as well enjoy everything. We walked to the beach, which is quite small, but of course the lake is large enough and on a hot day, the water feels great. You could rent those boards you stand up and paddle on. There were so many dogs, which... More
