We have stopped here many times. Actually every time we are in the are; which is usually once a year. This is an automatic stop. On the weekends they have maple glazed donuts.. In addition to apple cider donuts. There are bakes foods, cheeses, other food items as well as souvenirs. Oh. And apples. Lots of different kinds.

The Apple Barn was a fun stop on a great Caravan New England fall color tour. The outside was decorated for great photo ops. Inside there are dozens of tasting stations and fun products. Their Honey Crisp apples are delicious and highly recommended. Good selection of cheeses. The apples orchards are just a mile or two from the store. Plenty... More

Went here based on the Rachel Ray visit ($40 a Day). The apple pie was outstanding as were the apple dumplings. Yum!

We were on a motor coach tour, and our tour guide took us to this roadside "general store and bakery" type place. Her promise was the best apple pie ever, and she was true to her word! The pies are made on the premises, flaky crust, delicious filling, and excellent with the ice cream. Word has it that they use... More

I found this great shop/barn off the main road in Bennington. Stopped in for apples, and enjoyed some wonderful apple cider donuts and coffee while sitting outside enjoying the countryside. Lots of Vermont items to wander through...picked up some great wooden signs. Well worth the visit!

We stopped here before we went to find the covered bridges. My brother has this thing for maple syrup -- and now I do too!! Very friendly staff - they even took the time to explain the differences in the syrup. Not only do they have syrup, but if you have a sweet tooth, you must stop here!

If you love maple anything (as I obviously do), this is a place you simply must visit! You can buy dark amber maple syrup by the gallon, which in our household doesn't last as long as you might think it would. And the maple walnut fudge - we couldn't bear to let even one crumb escape! Then there is the... More

We have to stop here whenever we are in Bennington. The baked goods are so good. The staff is so friendly. The baker is the sweetest man. He comes out and shakes our hand every time we come in. The amazing thing is sometimes it is a couple years between times. One time we had been traveling all night. We... More

We followed many other travelers in stopping at the Apple Barn enroute to other Vermont sites. It is a large facility, featuring seasonal items and an array of Vermont items, such as cider, honey, maple syrup & related products. The bakery on the premises has a delicious array of fresh goods, several of which we sampled/bought for consumption later in... More

Pretty much a store geared towards selling stuff to tourists...which we were, so we bought a couple things. Nice selection of syrup, pumpkins, etc...
