First time I went there they were selling cider from Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center, Vermont. It was by far the best cider that I have ever had. On subsequent visits they were selling cider from other locations including southern New York State that can be purchased in local grocery stores. A real disappointment. When I asked the... More

We stopped here for a mid-morning break with our tour group. The management kindly put on some flavoured doughnuts and warm cider for tasting. The shop is a magnet for tourists; it offers an extensive range of fruit pies in their bakery, including their advertised flavoured doughnuts, several strains of apples, and many other products to cater for all tastes.... This place makes a very good apple cider. Their mini cider donuts were wonderful. Also bought some of Cabot's Cellars aged cheddar cheese. This was a new taste sensation. This store has an excellent bakery. Lots of choices besides cider donuts.

Our friends told us to go to this barn just outside Bennington, so we took in a little leaf peeping and headed by. Oh my! My husband is nor much of an ice-cream guy and he never eats soft-serve ( too chemical) but this stuff is the real deal, not airy chemical soft serve, just soft and oozy maple yumminess.... More

We came specifically for the Apples cider donuts and ended up getting a box of the little ones to go along with two larger ones to see the difference. We all thought the little ones "minis" we better. While we were there was enjoyed the ices cream. One of us got a Maple creemy which is soft serve, but I... More

We had a delicious blubbery and apple crumb pie. Will definitely stop by again. I loved the way it is decorated for Autumn.

We stopped at the Apple Barn after being on the road for an hour+ and having visited a museum at Williams College. The people are friendly. We sampled the cheese and bought some very delicious Vermont Cheddar. They had a tasting of their hard cider -- didn't partake since I was driving. We bought a couple of items and yet... More

Lived nearby 1984-1993, and ate their pies, donuts, and desserts all the time. Knew it was all delicious, but took it for granted! Moved far away, and just returned for a visit, 22years later, and purchased an apple crumb pie and half dozen apple donuts. It wasn't just good, wasn't simply great, it was truly outstanding!! Yes, absolutely the best... More

We have stopped here many times. Actually every time we are in the are; which is usually once a year. This is an automatic stop. On the weekends they have maple glazed donuts.. In addition to apple cider donuts. There are bakes foods, cheeses, other food items as well as souvenirs. Oh. And apples. Lots of different kinds.

The Apple Barn was a fun stop on a great Caravan New England fall color tour. The outside was decorated for great photo ops. Inside there are dozens of tasting stations and fun products. Their Honey Crisp apples are delicious and highly recommended. Good selection of cheeses. The apples orchards are just a mile or two from the store. Plenty... More
