I'm not sure I'd go there just to visit the Monument, but if you are in the area like we were, on a road trip from Calif to Colorado, it was a nice surprise. Both kids and adults enjoyed it.

This doesn't take long to visit but it is a must do! The dig site is air conditioned and you can actually see the bones embedded in the rock of over 200 dinosaurs. You can touch the bones, view a full skull and learn all about how paleontologist worked to preserve and excavate the bones. By far my favorite place... More

Have a large rock wall where you can see all the dinosaur bones still in place and touch one. other exhibits. Good hiking, especially by green river. Can get passport stamped. Can be tricky to get to so be sure and get a map.

The wall of fossils and interactive displays was fascinating. One 5 year old said, "I made a dinosaur" You pick a bone in the wall and the computer moves the bone from the wall to the skeleton of a dinosaur. The park ranger was very helpful. Team seeing actual fossils untouched with the Utah field museum in Vernal, UT explanations... More

I didn't know what to expect when we went to Dinosaur National Monument, but was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea that they had discovered so many skeletal remains at the site. A short bus ride from the visitor center takes you to a air conditioned building where you can view bones and partial skeletons of dinosaurs. After viewing the... More

We drove to the end of the road to look at Petroglyphs. Road was poorly marked, and we were pretty sure we had missed it, then we finally saw a sign. The fossil exhibit was amazing. Rangers were on hand to answer questions.

For anyone who ever had an interest in dinosaurs, ( who didn,t ?) this is the place to go.The views even before Dinosaur National Monument are interesting in themselves. In summer the car park near the Entrance ( Visitor Centre ) must be used and the free shuttle bus used. In a matter of minutes visitors are at the wall... More

We went on Sunday morning right when it opened and I feel that this was a great time to go. It wasn't as hot, you could drive up to the fossil museum instead of riding the shuttle. we drove to the cabin, looked at the petroglyphs, and stopped to look at the river. It was very clean and everyone was... More

We had a great time at the visitor's center looking at the bones. They have a 12 minute movie and a little gift shop and then the shuttle takes you up to the wall of bones. We spent some time looking over that and then rode back down. We took a drive to look at the sites along the way--the... More
