4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012 NEW

I never thought much of an acquarium in Utah, but was pleasantly surprised by The Living Planet. They have an octopus, sharks, a large sea turtle, anaconda, penguins, and some new otters. There is a play area for kids, and several animals you can pet. Prices on memberships are very low, and they are planning to temporarily close to move... More

Now this is a place children and adults alike can enjoy. So much to discover and discuss. Beautifully maintained and so clean and enjoyable. Whether in a large group or small, we have never been disappointed. More

I bought a membership to the LPA when my first child was just starting to walk (read as: run...everywhere) and since it was winter, we needed somewhere indoors to burn off some energy. You can't beat the price and it is extremely kid-friendly. There isn't a TON of variety of animals, but it is growing all the time. The only... More

The facilities are small but they make the most of them. The penguins and otters are very fun to watch. Fun for kids but only for an hour or so, not an all day excursion. Often the Aquarium only have one person working the entrance/ticket line so it can take a while to get into the showrooms when waiting on... More

Loved the size, perfect for little children. Beautiful exhibits! We bought a pass and it has soooo been worth our money! We go often and love the interactions we have with the staff. More

The aquarium is in a temporary home, but they do a great job in a small space. We have annual memberships because our kids love to go there. You can pet the sting rays and other tidal creatures. Watching the octopus feeding is always fun. I can't wait till they finish their new home! More

Any visiting or living near Salt Lake would enjoy touring the Living Planet Aquarium that continues native Utah fish and marine life, sea life exhibits, penguins, and South America creatures. Call ahead to see when the shows are available if you want to enhance your visit. I have taken my grandchildren there many times and we have enjoyed every visit. More

IF I was basing this review on what this aquarium offers and displays as far as the penguins and otters, i would be giving it FIVE STARS, But..........IF you can't stand RUDE and inconsiderate UTAH people, do NOT come here EVER on a weekend, EVER!!! I took my son here on a nice Saturday afternoon expecting to have a pleasant... More

We took our children, grandchildren and parents to the acquarium. All of us had a fabulous time. There is something for everyone at every age for what I thought were bargain prices. The place was clean; staff knowledgeable and nice and the animals were great. You can see everything which isn't always the case with zoos and acquariums. More
