Stunning! Peaceful place and although I'm not a Mormon, enjoyed the Mormon's annual convention and learned a lot

It is a wonder what the early pioneers sacrificed to build such an remarkable structure to their God!! We learned a great deal at the visitors center. Simply a must see when in Southern Utah.

Beautiful and peaceful. Appreciate the early Mormon pioneers who endured so much yet constructed this magnificent building. The tour and visitor center were outstanding.

You can get a brief overview of the LDS (Mormon) church's beliefs and history of temple building. Although you cannot tour the Temple (only worthy church members may enter) you can see pictures of the interior and get an idea of the sacrifice the early settlers of this area made to build this beautiful edifice.

The day we went the sun was blindingly hot. The workers give you a spiel about baptizing famous historical figures like Washington and Byron. The thought of Byron as a monogamist made me snort.

The Temple and its grounds are amazing. The Temple is easily seen from the interstate as you drive into St. George - but it is exquisitely beautiful at night! Once at the Temple grounds, you feel a real peace and calm that is hard to find. The Visitor's Center is very welcoming (the cool air conditioning, water fountain, and restrooms... More

The temple grounds were beautiful and well kept. We spent some time talking to some of the grounds keepers and gained an appreciation of the work needed to keep the grounds this nice. Also, spent some time in the visitor center talking with the folks there and viewing the exhibits. Very nice and cool since it was getting quite warm.... More

We visited because the building is truly beautiful and imposing on the towns skyline. Look for the tall white tower. Went in and met Sister Rigby and she took us on a tour of the building etc. REALLY nice and gentle people and she answered many questions about the Mormon church and faith. Not heavy or giving you the 'hard... More
