I've been to the Jacob Hamblin home on several occasions and always find the history here fascinating. If you love Mormon history then you should stop by and learn of the hardships that this family and other saints endured while living in Dixie.

Jacob Hamblin's story is very compelling. He lived in this home with 2 wives. The surrounding area of Santa Clara is beautiful and there are many places to explore.

A little bit of a drive out of St. George in Santa Clara but worth it. Tours are very good and seeing the place and hearing the stories takes you back as though you were there. Very good history lesson

We loved to see this cabin and all the surroundings. It is well worth visiting even though it is out of town.

This is one of the earliest surviving homes of the settlers to this area. It was build for Jacob Hamblin by the community while he was away on his missions to the Indians. Two of his wives and their children lived here and the home was build for the two families. Very interesting history of the family, their living conditions... More

We took our 8 year old primary class and they all enjoyed it. The couples that are there to guide the tours are always fun and nice to the kids, and I learn something new each time. Fun part of history.

Coming from St George the house is located on the right side of the road just after a curve so we missed it at first. The house has a nice driveway and a small parking lot for visitors. Once near the house we were kindly greeted by an elder we saw the day before at the visitor center of the... More

This is an excellent look back to living in pioneer times. The tour guides are very interesting. Jacob Hamblin was an interesting person that was revered by the Indians in the area.

This is a very quiet, out of the way place to learn about one of Utah's most interesting historical figures. I found that he was a man of many talents and someone I would like to learn more about.
