We love visiting the mormon pioneer sites in St. George. The couple missionaries do a great job and the home itself is really interesting.

It is a fun tour and gives information about the area. Interesting to know that the home has been so close to being flooded.

The homesite was easy to find, very well maintained and original. The staf was courteous and very knowledgable with the history of the house and it's occupants. Recommend this as a short stop on the local history of St George and the Mormon church.

I went for the history and getting to know the town. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed a giant sign that said CLOSED but there were a few cars in the lot. I called and they said they were open, just forgot to flip the sign. I was the only one there at the time for a... More

pleasant drive to Santa Clara (about 20 mins from St. George), guided tour by mormon volunteer who did not force his views upon us. Tour take only about 45 minutes and id free.

This little pioneer home has quite a story to tell. I enjoyed this visit to see and learn more about Jacob Hamblin. He was a great missionary and friend to the Native Americans in the area of Southern Utah. You have to drive through St. George from I-15, out to Santa Clara, Utah, which takes a few minutes, but is... More

This is a great historical site that gives you a glimpse into what it would have been like to be an early settler in this area. The LDS missionaries on site are extremely knowledgable about the site as well as Jacob Hamblin, who was a respected friend and ally of the Native Americans.
