To say that this is Utah's second finest art museum is certainly faint praise indeed. The building itself is a fine, modern structure. And, however small and limited its collection, the admission is free, and the travelling exhibits which stop here offer surprising views into some otherwise unexplored areas. The museum's collection of American art, while not as large as... More

BYU is not laid out on the Mormon grid. So finding this little gem of an art museum can be tricky. However once you do, you'll find a great gallery. Displays are subject to Mormon sensibilities. One year, they locked two Rodin sculptures in the basement because they felt they were "obscene."

A very large, spacious, and beautiful museum! My favorite exhibit was the 'Cut! Costume and the Cinema.' Costumes from famous movies, all in the renaissance style, were exhibited. The movies I enjoyed seeing the costumes from were; 'Ever After,' 'The Pirates of the Carribean,' and 'The Duchess.' They were all so beautiful and amazing.

I had a small amount of time to visit the MOA and wanted to see their special exhibit. I reserved tickets online but was unable to print them. The staff were very friendly and helpful and just looked up my information for entrance. The exhibit was fantastic and it is obvious that great care is put into making the MOA... More

A hidden gem right out in the open. The exhibits are breath taking. As you explore the art it has a way of taking you in. You experience the artist’s emotion as they painted these canvasses. This is a place that is a treat and unexpected gift from the university to the world. A must take! … and best of... More

Very well-laid out design. The ipad tour for "Sacred Gifts" gave so much more than one person could tell during a tour. Great parking. The Southwest and other exhibits in the basement were excellent, too.

We recently saw the exhibit "Sacred Gifts" and were very impressed. It contains a number of original works of art by Carl Bloch and 2 other famous artists who painted Christ in a number of settings. These were sent for display by the churches who own them. Rent and I-pad for $3 if you can. It's well-worth to hear the... More

My wife and I visited the Museum of Art at BYU to see the sacred gifts exhibit. You will want to rent the IPAD for $3 to get a lot of extra background material, comments by church leaders, and music related to these special paintings. The paintings were done by Carl Block, Schwatz, and Hoffman. If you are LDS, you... More
