This drive is one of my favorite in the US. After a round of golf in Midway, it's a relaxing and scenic trip back to Park City. You can see everything from there. Amazing sunsets and moonrises. Moose are also common to see up there.

We did this drive in September, the weather beautiful, the scenery even more so. Worth the time! Stop at the cut-outs and see the valley. Had lunch at a small restaurant on the drive, food and service was excellent. Very positive.

Loved it: very close to Park City, scenic from start to finish, and great hiking all along the way. Apparently we were one week too late for the oaks' red leaves, but the aspens were at their golden peak everywhere you looked. We stopped at the Guardsman Pass Overlook and did 3 different hikes that all started right where the... More

The drive was breathtaking, the colors spectacular. We went on a Sat., so traffic was a little heavy.

This is a beautiful drive from Park City to Big Cottonwood Canyon/Brighton Ski Resort. Park at the pass and hike south for some great views. Or just continue west into Big Cottonwood Canyon. Caution: when returning to Park City be careful not to burn out your brakes driving down Empire Pass Road.

Very special in mid-September 2015 with great fall colors. Signage not very clear at the junction where the road goes either back to Park City or towards Heber. We chose the latter, which made for a long round-trip but worth it for the colors.

After reading all the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, we were not disappointed! The roads were paved and good to drive on. The views were fabulous. The road led us through Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon. We ended up in Snowbird which was another awesome place.

I drive this every time I go back to salt lake. I lived there for 17 years. It is one of the most beautiful mountain drives. It goes from park city ut to brighton. Watch the signs or you can end up in midway. The best news is that it is now paved.

The Guardsman Pass is an absolutely gorgeous drive. Was recommended to us by a local resident and we are so happy we listened. The pass is closed in the winter, but if you are in the area at any other time of the year, don't miss it!
