Head up to the top, summer only of course, and spend some time enjoying the view and wild life viewing opportunity. If you go around dusk, there is a good chance you will see a moose in the alpine meadow.

It is a gorgeous drive up. It's so worth it to go up and hike or bike. Take a picnic. The views are amazing.

Outstanding drive when the fall colors are out. Bring your camera. You can't stop taking one picture after another.

In summer, it allows easy access to the Brighton/Solitude Area for beautiful Alpine hikes (about 20 minutes from PC). This is a spectacular short drive especially during fall season showcasing a huge array of colors. You are driving up SR224 to Guardmans' passing Empire pass with some of the most expensive Real Estate properties in DV as well as the... More

This is a beautiful area. The drive is a little scary but worth it. If you start at Deer Valley you can drive over the mountain to the cute town of Midway.

Take your time and slow down and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Wasatch mountains and forests. I've taken this drive in the summers and falls and I am always amazed at the beauty of the mountains.

I really do enjoy this drive during the summer months of Park City. We usually take this route when we can to avoid the interstates. Great hikes and picture oportunities.

I was at the top of Guardsman Pass a few times. One time was just to see it and hike, one time was to do shuttle laps on our mountain bikes and one time was to camp in my truck. It's awesome every time.

When I was there, the colorful leaves rivaled the leaf-peeping in Vermont! Really worth it if you are in Utah in the fall!
