We all had a great time, and I have only been skiing once before 20 years ago. I stuck to my green slopes, my husband did the blues. Even with not much snow the first day, we had a blast. The restaurants in the area are very good as well, especially Red Tail Grill and the Farm.

We used to own a condo at the Grand Summit resort right at the base of the Canyons. We loved going there, and enjoyed skiing at the Canyons (although we had season passes at Park City we would ski 3-4 days at the Canyons). We have now sold our condo, and no longer ski here. The current owners of the... More

Going in we knew that early season can be hit or miss. This year is was a bust. Very few runs opens and the closer it got to Christmas break the busier the one lift was to the few runs open. Conditions varied by the temperature and were better with a little snow fall. Their website is horrible and inaccurate.... More

I have stayed at the Westgate in the Canyons and loved it. This go around it was awful. We were put into a condo under the Edge Restaurant....sliding chairs and stomping high heels all night long. When we complained, we were told too bad basically as people can be noisy as they want until 10 p.m. This noise went on... More

We visited during the week of 12/8. It was great. There were hardly an lines at the lifts. There were 2 blue runs open, a couple thinly covered black runs and a nice green. The blue runs were fun enough for me. Very little to no traffic coming down the slopes. And, the sun was out and the temperature was... More

Only 7 or 8 runs open right now, and only 1 for green. $85? Crazy expensive for what you got. Not blaming them for not having enough open, but adjust your price.

The mountain offers good skiing but getting to it on the myriad of lifts cuts down the time on the slope compared to time in line and on lifts. My wife and I gave up the Canyons after two years of trying to navigate them. And the lines at the bottom at the start of the day on weekends and... More

While our family does not ski we found lots to do and look at at this famous ski resort. The gondola was open and we purchased lift tickets that allowed us to ride up the mountain to the lodge. There we had some lunch and watched the skiers. AWESOME photos of mountain range.

The Canyons - or whatever the latest name is/will be - is a big resort. Lots of terrain, you can spread out and get away from the crowds. For black diamond runs, take the ninety-nine-ninety lift (which is the altitude a the top). Ski away from the gondola and the lifts closest to it if you wan to avoid the... More

The Canyons is a large ski resort. All skiing is nice, but skiing at The Canyons is not nearly as pleasant as skiing at Park City or Deer Valley. The Canyons is huge, but poorly laid out. I felt like I spent half my time on long, slow traverses trying to get from one mountain to another. My friend who... More
