The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Went to The Rocky Horror Picture Show here on Halloween night. Had a blast. They even handed out props. Would do it again.

This is a great old theatre that is worth any admission price just to wander around and view the renovations done to bring this beautiful treasure back from the brink. One of the few remaining theatres of its kind, like the Wilma in Missoula, the Egyptian is a diamond in the rough, the rough being Ogden. Although the area is... More

I came here to watch my niece perform in the Nutcracker last December, and I also went again for another of her performances in June. What a great place! I first remember going to see Mary Poppins here with my big brother when it was a just a movie theater. (That was a LONG time ago!) I was fascinated with... More

This is a great old theater that has been lovingly restored. It was grand then and still feels that way. If you arn't in Park City for the Festival, this is the next best thing, with all the locals.

This was a very enjoyable experience. The theater was very clean and very comfortable. I will that Ogden did more things in the theater rather than just private group things. It does seem like some wasted space in the city because it only gets used a couple times a year.

I love this venue. Even if the performance isn't great, your surroundings always are. It's a testament to the character of the people of Ogden that they fought to save and beautifully restore this amazing building. I love the "night-sky" ceiling and the colorful Egyptian frescos. It's the perfect size--you always have a good seat, and the acoustics are great.

Wow - what a step back in time! We came to the theatre for a Sundance movie and were charmed by the beautiful restoration. In it's original state - the ornate gold tones and egyptian palate is uniquely present and accentuated by it's lighting. Actually, the seats were comfortable too. It feels special to be a guest here - and... More

When all of the screenings for a Sundance Film Festival movie sold out in Park City, we decided to make the trek to see it at Peery's in Ogden. I'm so glad we did! This restored old theater is so cool! I wouldn't describe it as "gorgeous," but it's definitely "special." The cool Egyptian theme is carried throughout the theater... More

The Peery Egyptian in Ogden always has something great going on. Off the grid of the typical theatre/movie theatre, you will see film festivals (Sundance, Banff, Telluride), Warren Miller films, classics, always the more unusual. Additionally the live performances are always excellent. I did not rate them as an excellent because the seats really are very uncomfortable. I am not... More
