Wow - what a step back in time! We came to the theatre for a Sundance movie and were charmed by the beautiful restoration. In it's original state - the ornate gold tones and egyptian palate is uniquely present and accentuated by it's lighting. Actually, the seats were comfortable too. It feels special to be a guest here - and... More

When all of the screenings for a Sundance Film Festival movie sold out in Park City, we decided to make the trek to see it at Peery's in Ogden. I'm so glad we did! This restored old theater is so cool! I wouldn't describe it as "gorgeous," but it's definitely "special." The cool Egyptian theme is carried throughout the theater... More

The Peery Egyptian in Ogden always has something great going on. Off the grid of the typical theatre/movie theatre, you will see film festivals (Sundance, Banff, Telluride), Warren Miller films, classics, always the more unusual. Additionally the live performances are always excellent. I did not rate them as an excellent because the seats really are very uncomfortable. I am not... More

This place I understand is a paean to the discovery of King Tut's sarcophagus in the early 19th century. Suddenly, the Egyptian craze took over the county with temples, theaters, shows. The superbly restored Egyptian theater in Ogden is one of the few that remain (another one I remember is in Pt. Arena, CA) and has the benefit of superb... More

The theater is beautiful and well maintained. Many shows are there each month. Really like the fact they allow local talents to perform there. I have attended Dance Recitals here as well the the Nutcracker two winters in a row. Fantastic experience.

This theater avoided demolition due to the love of the community. It's a wonderful place for a movie or a concert.

This is a great place to see Sundance movies that come to Ogden. You won't see the big stars (they're in Park City) but it's a beautiful old theater and there's a cool vibe here.

This is an Ogden monument. You cannot come to the area and not go the the Egyptian. I wish all the theaters had the fell that this one does.

The interior of this theater is as wonderful as its exterior. See a show, or an old film here any chance you get.
