As local residents, we spend a lot of time hiking, biking, and even gentle motorcycling on various segments of the trail. We are very fortunate to have these trails, and I feel proud to have been a part of continuing to allow the trail to pass through a section of land owned by my family for generations. The trail system... More

A perfect late summer day was spent walking up the hill (with a great piece of pie at the top), followed by an even better stroll back down to town. Worth the time.

This is a great trail for hiking and even better for biking. Bikers and hikers have dedicated trails that offer a challenge as well as places to stop and appreciate the views from above. There's a waterfall canyon worth seeing and if your lucky some wild life along the way. We walked the loop in about 1.5 hours including rests... More

You cannot find a city in the USA (except for Boulder, Colorado) that has as spectacuar an array of trails right in the back yard of the city. In fact the mountains to the east are more than Boulder as far as height from bottom to top. The good thing is that the city of Ogden is affordable and not... More

Great access and parking at trail heads with great views of Ogden Canyon, Upper Ogden Valley, and the greater Ogden area - including the Great Salt Lake.

This is a great day hike in the Ogden area. Snow still at top of mountain Memorial Day weekend so if you want to make it to the top, wear your hiking boots. Great views, great change in terrain. Takes about 7-8 hours round trip, so pack a great lunch and a blanket. We usually stop in the (heavenly) pine... More

I use this trail everyday. It's a challenging hike but not so hard that you can't do it. It is pretty steep in areas. But a very beautiful hike. It's rattlesnake haven so be watchful of where you walk. I have almost stepped on 2 in the last 2 years.

I must admit that I've only hiked portions of the trail. Those portions were easy, well maintained and led to other adventures for our family- we letter box. The trails are easy enough that our two year old hiked them no problem. The views beautiful!

I love hiking this trail, from either direction, at all times of the year. Last winter was fairly mild, so I hiked the south end (south facing) several times with no need for snowshoes. Fall is my absolute favorite time to hike this trail in order to enjoy the foliage! Don't like that motorcycles are allowed though, and you do... More

Traffic depends on which trailhead you start up, but generally the trail is clean and easily followed. Dog friendly, too.
