We paid US$ 133.89 for a room next to the Gas Station. The building we stayed had 4 units. The room was so small that we did not know where to put our luggage. There were 2 windows not to the exterior but to another room with a vending machine, a table, and chairs. We stay in the dark. There... More

Great place , one of only two in Monument Valley; I guess Goulding's made Monument valley famous thro' the history of the trading post, helping the local Navajo etc. The historical trading post as a museum is still there and wonderful to visit, giving a history of all movies made there, from John Wayne era to even more recent Forest... We stayed at Gouldings Lodge during our tour of Monument Valley. We were assigned one of the 4 or 5 rooms that are located beside the gas station down the hill from the main hotel and registration area. These rooms appeared to be fairly new as they had USB ports and electrical outlets above the bedside tables. The air conditioner... More

we took an all day tour with Gouldings and tours and toured the Mystery Canyon, the Monuments in Monument Valley and a Navajo weaving demonstration. It made for a long day, but worth it

We had a great guide: Jameson. He combined a lot of Navajo history and legend with sights along the valley floor. Made just the right amount of stops for those of us who wanted photo ops. The van had a roof, and vinyl side walls that he rolled down when it started to pour. His final story about Mother Earth... More

Goulding's is located in the heart of Monument Valley of Utah, very close to the Utah/Arizona border. The prodigal view of Monument valley buttes were visible right from our balcony/patio. A silent coffee/breakfast/snack on your balcony with such view was enough value for the money we spent to stay here, which, by the way, was not much. Do not expect... More

The people are nice; the accommodations are upscale and well maintained; the view from the room balcony is astounding. The tour was the best of our road trip and purchased through Gouldings (try to get Joe as your tour guide). The restaurant good and the service was excellent. Our only disappointment in Gouldings was the trading post. Since the place... More

I'm guessing due to the lack of places to stay in Monument Valley, places like this and The View can get away with charging $200+ a night for okay accommodations. I'm knocking them down due to the poor value, I just don't see how prices need to be so high. Also a side note: don't book rooms 324-327, they are... More

I spent one night here being a popular time of year. I had to stay in the Red Rock rooms which is a small building by a gas station which is below the main complex with no views of the valley. It is probably their overflow area but for over $110 a room it was still not cheap. The room... More

Take this Navajo tour of Monument and Mystery Valley; do not just do a drive through. The tour is excellent. We did not stay ate the lodge so I cannot speak about it. Our group took a Navajo-guided Goulding's Tour and it was superb. We had a tall, maybe 6 foot 6 inch Navajo gentleman named Joe. He was excellent.... More
