Rich with history and Navajo culture! Beautiful backdrops courtesy of Mother Nature beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We camped in the campground which the dogs did not like because of lack of grass but, it was a very nice campground. The restaurant at the lodge was very nice and the food was good. Took a tour out onto the desert which,... More

We stayed at Goulding's for two nights & took the full day tour. If you have the time & the money I can think of few better ways to spend them. Our driver, Larry, was just terrific. He made the day so special for everyone on the tour. The hotel was clean & comfortable. We liked the restaurant experience, too.... More

We booked a Tour, yes it is expensive, as you can drive yourself into the park and pay only $20,=. But if you like to go a bit further and see some cows and ancient drawings on a cave, this is the way to go. We had the last tour that day, probably why the guide made little effort. He... More

This was my gift to myself. I am not used to paying these types of prices to stay in a room for one night -- $205.00 plus taxes. This place was really worth it, especially the room with the view. I had a perfect look at Monument Valley. I also made the effort to get up in the morning to... More

We stayed at Gouldings for two days to show our nephew Monument Valley. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and provides the services one needs to visit the Valley. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is adequate with a rather limited menu featuring "American" food and some with a Navajo touch. There is a small movie theatre on the... More

We stayed at te Goulding's Lodge it was great. We enjoyed the view of the monuments. We also enjoyed the tour of the Goulding's home, the museum with John Wayne and John Ford films and other artifacts. The mountain surrounding Goulding's Lodge looked as if someone had carved an Indian's face with head dress. We also enjoyed the jeep tour... More

We were told by a friend to book a tour, so we booked the full day: Mystery Valley , lunch, & Monument Valley. Even got a tshirt! The guides are very informative, they know their history & had personal stories to tell as well. During Mystery Valley, we got stuck three times in the sand drifts, we had to be... More

This tour takes you off road into Monument Valley where your car cannot go. So you get to see much more of the area. Amazing rock formations, a Navajo Reservation where you watch the Indian ladies make wool and then weave rugs and clothes. Places where all kinds of well known films have been filmed, learn about the history, geology,... More

If you plan to go anywhere near Monument Valley, the only place to stay in our opinion is Gouldings. The history is marvelous and the scenery is superb. This is our 4th time there and the area never gets old. This last visit, the motel was full and we rented a house on the property. It was perfect for the... More
