We took a 2 hour trail ride through the back country behind the Totem Pole in there late afternoon. The horses were well mannered, our Navajo guide, Keevin, was excellent. We went to some out of the way places and our guide explained the significance of the monuments and pictographs to his culture. He also took pictures of our group... More

My wife and I went on the 6 hour trail ride with Black's Trail Rides. It was AWESOME.!!! I hope to do it again some day. Keevin, our Navajo guide was professional, personable, knowledgeable and we would highly recommend him. The horses were well mannered, energetic and even did some galloping :). What a great day in the saddle! If... More

We took a 3 hour tour with this outfit. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Monument Valley and showed us many interesting things we would not have seen if we had just driven through the Valley on our own. The horses were very gentle and easy to ride (we are very in-experienced riders). I would definitely use... More

My husband and I visited America in May and Blacks Jeep/Horse tour of Monument Valley was one of the highlights of our holiday. I would definitely recommend these tours the young couple who we booked the tour with were friendly and helpful but not pushy. Our jeep guide was Natasha a lovely girl who never stopped smiling. She was very... More

I had to recently cancel my horseriding tour with this company and compiled with their cancellation policy! I emailed them several times, called and left several voicemail messages and when I was able to get ahold of a real human, they informed me they were unable to help me but would let them know....nothing! No return phone call, no return... More

My sister and I toured Monument Valley with Black's Tour guide Ira Deschene. This is an experience and a guide I would definitely recommend. We rode with him in is his jeep, and what he told us of what we were seeing, pointing out the scenic features, explaining the history, the culture, the significance of what we were seeing, where... We were here in late May (Memorial Day) so it was busy but not crazy. We stopped at the Welcome centre and spoke to Mary, a young navajo who was manning a jewelry stand, and she explained the tours well. We then drove our (very inadequate car) to the Visitor centre 4 miles from the highway, into the park, and... More

We took the 2 hrs horseback riding tour and it was great. Even if it seems like a short period of time it was really enough to experience the Monument Valley from a deeper perspective. It was our first time on horses and even if it was a bit strange at first at the end it was really amazing. Our... More
