We stayed at The View. In the parking lot are 2 sheds (booths). One had horse rides advertised, and had a rocking horse on the roof. I booked a tour for 2 hours. Paid cash and negotiated the price as they like to charge double for just one person. I can understand it isn't cost effective to just take one... More

The tour was booked from the parking lot of the hotel - before the self drive road - however I had made an on-line enquiry beforehand. (They did respond after a few days.) The actual ride was negotiated on the day. I got in my car and drove to meet the guide at the small ranch area where two other... More

We booked a 3hrs horse back ride, dinner with indians and overnight stay in a Hogan (typical indian house). The horse ride was nice, the scene is absolutely fantastic, the guides were friendly and gave some more info from time to time. When we arrived in base camp after the horse back ride we asked one of our guides were... More

Do not leave Monument Valley without going on a Black's tour. We did 2 hours with Greg on horses. It was a once in a life time experience! The views were incredible and not accessible to the public. Our Navajo guide gave us knowledge of the area that you could never have by driving around on your own. Everyone was... More

We went on a 2 1/2 hour horseback riding tour. It's the best (and only) way to see the sights off the main, drivable road. And when we were there the road was closed to visitors, so having a tour booked was the only way to see anything other than from the visitor's center. Highly recommend!

This was our first time horse back riding, so we came into this with absolutely NO experience. There was some confusion in the parking lot near the visitor center about whether we had paid or not (we had), but once that was straightened out, they gave us a map to where we needed to drive to meet up with our... You have to watch closely and ask information at the information center of this park. There they told us to look for a grey jeep whit the name 'Black's' on the side. And yes, he was on the parking lot.... but watch closely, their are many others in and round the ticketboot. He asked for an advance pay ... so... More

A couple of months ago we booked a horse riding tour with Blacks based on the positive TripAdvisor reviews. Turned up at the meeting point at 8am as directed and waited...and waited. The other tour guides from different companies said Blacks were often late but by 8.30 we were getting concerned. We rang both contact numbers we had and left... More

I want to commend Black’s tours for a most wonderful experience! We booked the three hour horse tour with Hogan stay. We flew into Phoenix and drove to the Navajo Tribal Park. I had received an email confirmation of our stay when I booked the visit in June. The email included all the details we needed to know about our... More

We did two tours with Black's - a 3 hour 4wd trip on 1 day and a horse ride on the 2nd - and as a result were able to negotiate a better price. Our 4wd Navajo guide Ted really started to started to wake up when we enter the guide only areas. Needless to say getting up & personal... More
