We had the honor of seeing Monument Valley with a young Navajo man who grew up there. Of course, the scenery was beyond belief…truly beautiful. This place feels like a sacred place once you are removed from the hustle and bustle of the center. Our guide took us to places that you cannot go unless you are accompanied by a... More

We took the combined horse trail ride and jeep tour of Monument Valley. What a day! Not experienced riders but we were looked after and made to feel really comfortable. Laurence was our guide for the whole day and made it perfect. He had so many things to tell us about the history of the land the people. A truly... More

This was me (ridden about 3 times in my life), my father-in-law (never ridden) and our guide Daniel on horseback riding towards one of the mittens and back. It was damp and drizzly and fantastic. We did a Jeep tour with a different company the next day and saw a lot more of the valley, but this tour really gave... More

If you're going to go horseback riding in Monument Valley go with Blacks...They were so helpful and friendly and even let you pet their horses without asking for tips!!!! We had Rubin for our guide what an awesome young man he is. Took us on a 2hr or so trip, we trotted and cantered in the back country and he... More

We learned so much about Navajo culture during our 2.5 hour private tour! Not only did we get to see the beautiful landscape, but we also got to hear more about their importance to the Navajo and learn a little about clan structure, government and traditions! The tour was well worth it! Our guide, Shane, shared so many interesting stories... More

When I was planning my stay in the Monument Valley I wanted to get a horse back ride. Since I only had one day in the valley I wanted to make a reservation well in advance. So I got in touch and actually got a reply. The reply basically was: "For single parties we do not take reservations. We are... More

I'm giving this a poor rating due to several major issues that occurred for our tour. Let me start off by saying that a private jeep tour is THE best way to see Monument Valley. Much of the Valley is otherwise inaccessible, and you want to have not only four-wheel drive, but a skilled driver and one who is knowledgable.... More

We did the all day ride with Sacred Monument. Started with 3 hours to teardrop arch, horses we got there were very well mannered, but keen to go. Our guide picked us up and dropped us off direct at our hotel again for lunch. There were just the 2 of us with our guide on this ride. After lunch we... More

My grandfather was an artist who at one point developed a deep interest in the American Southwest. He used to tell me a lot about a trip he took to Monument Valley where he rode down into the valley in a private jeep with a Navajo tour guide to see all of the marvelous sights up close and personal. Earlier... More

Our tour started 1.5 hours late which was hard for us because we had other things planned. We sat and waited and waited. Our guide was very quiet and when I gave him a tip and the end and said goodbye he said not one word to us at all. It was very strange. The scenery of course was great.... More
