When my husband and I first experienced Monument Valley decades ago, we did what most people do. Park our car, walk to an overlook and stare at the beauty of the place, taking in its magic and spirituality. We lived in Phoenix at the time and did a quick overnight in Flagstaff before driving around the next morning and part... More

Monument Valley is a beautiful park to visit. Thanks to our guide Duffy Holiday, it became a very special visit. In a 3½ hour tour, he showed us Monument Valley including Mystery valley. Duffy told us about the park and the Navajo (Dinéh) culture; that was very interesting. The visit of a Navajo bogan and Duffy playing a flute in... More

We booked the 3 1/2 hour tour and were met promptly by the tour organizer and guide at the time and place we were told to be. Our guide, Clifford, was fantastic! His knowledge of the area and the Navajo people made for a great experience as we toured the valley. I highly recommend doing a guided tour with Safari... More

Monument Valley was one of my bucket list things to do. We travelled nearly 6 hours each way so I could see the valley. It’s possible to turn up and use one of the many tour companies. These appear to keep to the main trail. We pre-booked, by pre-booking we got to go off the main trail and saw so... More

This was our first tour of Monument Valley, and a friend suggested going with Monument Valley Safari based on several trips he had taken previously. In particular he recommended getting Duffy as the guide. Duffy opened our eyes as to the depth of Navajo culture, and their understanding of nature and plants around us. My wife has a degree in... The tour started off rough, when the first guide decided to leave earlier than we had been told to arrive. We contacted the company and they apologized and sent a guide out for us. It turned out great as we had the tour all to ourselves! Tony did a very good job in explaining the area to us and took... More

Duffy took us on this tour to Mystery Valley. He was very eager to share the Navajo culture with us as well as to show us the area. We learned a lot about culture and the land on this tour and saw a number of really interesting things in Mystery Valley with Monument Valley in the background. A really pleasant... More

My family had an outstanding time on an open air vehicle with Monument Valley Safari. We messed up on the time zone difference driving from Flagstaff to Monument Valley, and called Nate to tell him of our error. He was great and told us not to worry and they would wait for us, We finally met up with our guide... More

We enjoyed a tour with our Navajo guide. He explained the geography and history of the area to us at each stop. He also took us off the normal road onto a special guided tour road. We road in a nice covered truck on comfortable padded benches. The 1.5 hour tour was the perfect length.
