We've just spent 3.5 hours sitting safari style in the back of a four wheel drive with Don the tour guide. He's so much more than a tour guide. He's one of the older and dare I say wiser people in the Navajo Nation working to preserve the Navajo language and culture. At every stop Don talked the Navajo beliefs... More

There are many different tours one can choose to take in Monument Valley but I can't imagine any one could be better than Navajo Spirit Tours. We chose the whole day tour and were lucky enough to have Don as our guide. He not only explained all about the sights that we were seeing, but also told us a great... More

I am an avid photographer and booked two private tours with Navajo Spirit Tours on my recent trip to Monument Valley. From my first telephone call to our last goodbye to our amazing guide Larsen Homer, they were fantastic! Helpful, knowledgeable, informative and just plain fun! If you're looking for an excellent experience-/and some great photos-- you can't go wrong!... More

So glad we did this tour. Out guide Harry was very learned, friendly, helpful and had a wonderful sense of humour. Pointed out many features that we would not have noticed on our own, and also took us on to private Indian property where the public can not go. He's also an expert photographer and shares his knowledge. A super... More

We did both Monument and Mystery Valley tours over two days. We had William and Don as our guides and both were very good. While you can do the loop through Monument Valley on your own you miss out on the history, stories and personal experiences of a guide. Mystery Valley doesn't have the same scale of ruins as other... Very professional tour company w flexibility as our travel plans changed last minute causing us to arrive a day late. Enjoyed the backcountry accessible only w a tour even more than the famous monuments in the area accessible by car.

The Monument Valley tour is far more rewarding. There are only a couple of cliff ruins. The return on the highway was miserable.

We got the all day tour and it rocked. During the morning the guide takes you to a non-touristy area of the monument valley, where you can also hike a few rocks and have an astonishing view from the top. Our guide - Dan (hope I got the spelling right) - was really good: he explained the legends and history... More

This was a fantastic experience. It goes without saying that the scenery is stunning, but you get so much more than pretty views on this tour. Our guide was friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable about Navajo history and culture. There are certain areas of the valley that you cannot acces without a guide and I disagree with the handful of... More
