Soldier Hollow Gold Course is the only Utah to course to host a USGA tournament. The course is still set up that standard and is a lot of fun. Multiple tees let you challenge yourself as much as you want.

We visited Midway and Park City to visit the kids and played the Gold Course at Soldier Hollow. We have played both courses but being from AZ the Gold course is our favorite. The fall view is beautiful, showing the mountains with Fall colors and early snow on the Mountains. The course is great,,big spread on the tees with a healthy rating on each one. They had just done the greens, without telling us when we made the tee time but overall the greens were 6-7 ratings and didnt hamper our putting.

The gold course is not your everyday walk in the park. It will challenge all your shot making skills.
This course is at a higher elevation than it's twin 18, silver course.
There are lots of elevation changes and too many side hill and down hill green approaches in deep rough. The pace of play is not the best. It is a popular layout and there are many unskilled players trying to hit from the tips.
They did not have a Marshall on the course so the pace of play really suffered.
There are plenty of long carries over nasty wild ravines.
Players here should have to provide a valid USGA handicap under 20 prior to teeing it up.
The course is in great shape with smooth tricky greens and deep rough just off the fairways.
Our first pro shop guy was John, but he was less than cordial and very full of himself.
The second fellow we met was a 180 degree change. He was very friendly and accommodating.
Joel was a gem in the pro shop and should be recognized for his efforts.
They have some great value rates for senior golfers. Overall this is one of the top courses
in the area.

My husband and I played the Gold course and it was challenging. The course was in great shape but there were quite a few ball marks on each green that were left not repaired by previous golfers. The views were great, but, it was very important to keep the ball in the fairway because the rough was extremely thick and difficult. Also, the play was extremely slow! There were far too many golfers on the course with many of them not playing ready golf. We had to wait on every shot which effects your rhythm. When players hit from the black tees and only get to the women’s tees there is a problem! It was at least a five hour round!

Nice golf course and excellent views on the Canyon Course. Cost was very reasonable (under $50). The course was in very good condition and provided plenty of challenges for the average golfer. Views were very good on the front nine in particular..

We play at Soldier Hollow once or twice a week. The Silver course is at the lower elevation but there are challenging changes on each hole. The Gold Course is especially challenging, going up and down the mountainside. Even low handicap golfer and pros will be challenged by the Gold tees, where many tournaments have been contested. Views of Mt. Timpanogos and the Deer Creek Reservoir can be spectacular.

One of the best rounds I have shot for years. The course is in great shape and the staff very friendly. Chris the pro makes you feel at home.

Played Soldier Hollow in July in the USGA Public Links golf championship. Course was in magnificent shape. Greens were so fast that they almost lost them. Area hadn't had rain in over w months but rained during our practice rounds. Fescue was therefore very short. Longest course in USGA history. Ball flies a lot further in Utah. Bunkers placed at 290 yds off the tee were not even in play as drives were flying well past that. It was a tough course to walk in the high altitude but I am sure during regular play you must take a cart. Great scenery. Bring your camera.

It would be nice to be able the see the color of the tee markers from the cart path. Obviously designed by someone who doesn’t play!
