If you are in the area take this drive to Mirror Lake. We stopped at the Provo River Falls along the way which was breathtaking. As we drove a moose was crossing the road.

We didn't know about this place. We had planned to go from Park City to Evanston via I 80 and stopped at a deli on Main Street in Park City for some sandwiches to go. The cashier at the deli recommended taking the scenic route instead. It was the best advise of the entire trip. The views were spectacular. The... More

If you havent driven or riden mirror lake it is a must, awesome sights along the way...there is camping but you do need to be aware of bears, and you will need a pass if you are stopping along the way or staying over night..

This is a 'must see' if you are in the area! A truly beautiful drive. Be sure to allow enough time to walk the trail at Mirror Lake. I would consider the trail 'easy' although al of the trail would not be accessible by cart or wheelchair.

We were tipped off to this drive by a local friend of ours. We departed from the Kimball Junction (Park City exit on I-80) and followed directions. The drive towards Kamas is through a beautiful valley, but the real thrill begins just past town. Snow capped mountains + mountain lakes were spectacular. Plenty of places to stop and walk around... By car in summer or snowmobile in winter this is a spectacular drive with incredible views and hiking trails. One of my favorite highways.

If you are in Park City, you need to take the time to go to Mirror Lake. It is so beautiful it will touch your soul. We walked around the lake and had a small picnic with snacks. The scenery was so beautiful! Bring a jacket in case it is windy. Stop at the Notch Pub on your way back... More

Its breath-taking view and walking path around the lake. Your can picnic and launch small boats from this site for a day of fishing and just relaxing. P.S. the reflections at the lake are beautiful.

Beautiful drive that only takes about half a day to get to and from if you are staying in Park City. Great places to stop and take pictures along the way and plenty of wildlife to see. The pass tops out at over 10,700 with an awesome view of Bald Mountain. Definitely worth seeing...

Our annual vacation took us to Park City, Utah this summer and the first place we went was Mirror Lake in the Uintah Mountains. This took us over the 10,700 foot elevation Bald Mountain Pass and past the Provo River Falls. Lots of good hiking and picture taking opportunities. Not too many services out there so fill your gas tank... More
