We drove from Kamas up to Mirror Lake for a day's hike. It was a beautiful mountain lake, which we walked around. Many people were fishing from shore, catching stocked Rainbow Trout. Others were fishing in small boats or canoes. We stopped to chat with many fishermen, who were having good luck. On the way down the mountain pass we... More

Gorgeous, well paved scenic byway between Kamas, UT and Evanston, WY. Plenty of camping areas and hiking paths. Lots of pine and quaking aspens.

The scenic byway is absolutely beautiful! I would highly recommend taking the time to drive this highway. We visited in late May and were unexpectedly met with several feet of snow covering the forest. The road was plowed nicely, the views were beautiful, and the trip was well worth the drive out to Wasatch National Forest.

Our happy place is in the mountains.... We love this scenic byway. It is just gorgeous. Lower Provo Falls is an amazing place to take pictures. Remember the one hour rule for perfect photography lighting. One hour after daylight and one hour before dusk are the most perfect times of day for taking outdoor pictures. This little spot is beautiful... More

This is one of our favorite local drives. There are several areas along the route to access hiking. The easy trail that circles Mirror Lake is a great one for families. The road is closed during the winter due to snow accumulation.

The Mirror Lake Highway is one of the most scenic drives in Utah. It winds its way from Kamas ultimately to Evanston. The hour drive from Kamas to Mirror Lake will pass myriad scenic views and mountain lakes.

This drive gives the individual the opportunity to truly enjoy the Utah high country. Don't try too early in the year, there is no snow removal. Mirror Lake in one of the Utah scenic wonders and a great place for children to learn to appreciate nature.

This is a wonderful drive in any season. In March this road is only partial open but a scenic drive. We were blessed to see 3 moose-bull, cow, & calf. They were very close to the road. You need a road tag to park on this road. Can get one through the national forest.

We loved our trip to the Uinta Mountains. The scenery was fantastic. Mirror Lake, Scout Lake and Lofty Lake where pretty easy hike and gorgeous. We even got lucky and seen a goat.

The drive up from Salt Lake is quite at but when you're here it's lovely. There's places to camp and you can have some fit pit spots which is lovely. Great for a pic nic and place o escape the hustle and bustle of salt lake. A lovely place to come and visit.
