This road winds by multiple lakes and campsites, gaining elevation as you depart Kamas and head into the Uinta Mountains and forest. Depending on time of day and season, moose sightings are frequent. The road is closed in winter due to heavy snowpack. More

I recommend pulling out often and maybe even do the short hike to Clegg Lake. It's such a pretty road. Not to miss if you like Sunday afternoon drives. Eat in Kamas for lunch or breakfast. More

this is the prettiest mountain lake drive we have ever been on. when you stop at the mirror lake campground, take the hike at the east end of the property, in a mile or so the trail leads to several secluded tranquil lakes where we never saw another soul! More
