This scenic drive lives up to its billing. There are campsites all along the road, easily accessible trailheads for hiking or horseback riding. Watch out for the "open range" livestock though. Many places to pull off and picnic too. Several lakes and the Provo River line the road on the way to the star, Mirror Lake. You can continue past... More

The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway provides travelers with incredible access to more than 40 miles of scenic views of the Uinta Mountains. Elevation on the Byway ranges from approximately 8,000-11,000 feet above sea level. The road is paved and well-maintained. There is no charge to use the byway if stops aren't made while traveling. I recommend paying the nominal fee... More

We really enjoyed our drive from Park City to Mirror Lake. Lots of places to visit along the way. Beautiful scenery all the way. Once at Mirror Lake the mile and half trail walk around the lake is a must. A great half day trip that was one of favorite activities our week in Park City.

This was a day well spent. We stopped at Provo Falls, Mirror Lake, and Crystal Lake Trailhead where we hiked to Wall Lake. From there you could hike to several other lakes. Many people were fishing and had caught a lot of trout. Very scenic and fresh fresh air!

This high mountain byway takes you up through the west end of the Uinta mountains. Along the way you have many places to pull off and do quick hikes or if you are truly adventurous you can take multiple day hikes into the High Uinta Wilderness. You follow the Provo River to the summit and just before reaching the top... More

Beautiful drive up into the mountains. Make sure to pack jackets because the weather is at least 10 degree cooler and changes by the moment. We only opted to hike the trail around the lake before it stormed but it was nice and would be easy for older adults and young children . (Not stroller friendly though) Uneven surfaces but... More

Had a great day!! Left Park City, stopped in Kamas at the Samak Smokehouse--great sandwiches and all kinds of jerky!! It's also the last stop...there's nothing after this place! You can buy a pass here, and if you plan to stop/park anywhere, you need this pass (6.00 for 3 days). I had two 13 year old boys with me and... More

We drove up to Mirror Lake for the day. The drive up on Route 150 was scenic but very slow due to traffic of large trucks and large campers pulled by pick up trucks. Sometimes we would be going at speeds of only 25 miles per hour for the uphill treks. Because of the nature of the road there are... More

Anyone with a little extra time during the months the road is not snowbound will find Mirror Lake highway a gorgeous way to spend a few hours. For travelers heading from Southern California or Arizona on their way to Wyoming or further east State Route 150 is a pleasant but slower way to reach Evanston, Wyoming. Be sure to watch... More

If you are in the area take this drive to Mirror Lake. We stopped at the Provo River Falls along the way which was breathtaking. As we drove a moose was crossing the road.
