We had a group of 30 15-year old girls. They absolutely loved the guides and their time in the slot canyons. They have the ability to instill confidence in first time repellers that is amazing!!! This was a day they will remember their whole life.

We spend a day out in the canyons with Rick and Craig and another family and I can honestly say it was the highlight of our two week tour of the region, and probably one of the most fun and exciting days our family has had. Rick was incredibly informative whether he was talking about native Americans or rapelling techniques... More

This was the highlight of our trip. I felt like Rick,Ian and Craig were great they were so encouraging and yet challenged us to be our best and press on for a great experience. Then getting back to Have Aimee greet us with ice cream was a great way to finish the day.

Professional, Safe and Super Fun. Rick and Craig were just the best. What an adventure for the whole family. Just scary enough for the teens and just safe enough for mom. Fun for everyone!

My husband, 11-year-old son, and I had the adventure of our lives with Rick and his assistant Craig. Rick never knows where he's taking his group when he wakes up; he meets with the group first and assesses their interests and abilities, and then decides which course he'll take them on. So it wasn't until we arrived at the trail... More

Greetings! Thank you for your review. We appreciate your taking the time to write this! We are so glad you had a good time in the slots with us. Yes, many folks have a fear of heights, but once out there at the canyons folks overcome their fear so that can descend the canyon. What an experience for both the... More

Super in touch with every participants' unique needs. Rick and his assistant Craig were great with a 50 pound 8 year old, a teenager who is not usually interested in high energy activities and a risk adverse mom. Rick- owner and guide- offered me his shorts- literally- when my shorts were shredding and I was scraping my back on the... More

Greetings! Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback! Yes, shorts often rip and we always encourage folks to wear long, durable shorts in the canyons. Sometimes, even the durable ones will tear :) We are glad you enjoyed your adventure with us and perhaps we'll see you again to wear out some more clothes :) Safe Travels to... More

Took the pothole escape workshop on May 30,31. Great experience, really built on and added to skill sets I'd learned in technical and advanced canyoneering classes . Lets face it, keeper potholes are scary. We worked in keepers for two days perfecting escape techniques such as ascending an overhanging keeper swimmer. Methods to toss potshots, tossing hooks, partner assists and... More

We weren't sure as in our 70's.......but Rick is a wonderful teacher and very safety conscious. Groups are relatively small so personal attention is guaranteed! Wish our entire family ( children and grandchildren) had been with us to experience this adventure! Thank you Rick, Ian, and Amie for Major Memories!!!!!!!!! The Hassell's from Charleston, SC

Greetings to the Hassells. Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your canyoneering experience with us. If folks can hike up to 5 miles in a day and are in general good health, then there is a good chance they will love canyoneering :) We'd love to meet the rest of your family... More

My wife and I went on our first canyonerring trip with Rick the owner of Excursions of escalante. He was a first class guide who emphasized safety which made us comfortable experiencing first time technical maneuvers to work our way down the canyon. From repelling, to sliding to butt friction and assisting one another it was an adrenaline rush all... More

Hi Frank - Thank you for your review. We appreciate your taking the time to write this! We are glad the two of you enjoyed your canyoneering experience. As you mentioned, sliding on your butt is a standard move in the canyons, so one should choose durable shorts for their adventure with us. :) Have a fun and safe Summer... More
