I've skied since I was 3 and boarded since I was 13 and this is my least favorite resort. Half the clientele are stoned and will run you over. Brighton silently condones this behavior by not patrolling for it and pulling passes or staffing the lines. People will shove right in front of you in line, it's ridiculous. This is... More

The lessons, gear rental, and slopes were wonderful! We went with our SLC family. We were visiting from FL. It was nice to arrive early, park close, and do the a.m. sessions. We all learned a lot. The food was average and expensive but the skiing superb! We will be back!

Almost every year we have skied in Utah, Brighton was on our calendar. It is well known as the locals' favorite, and for good reason. Utah learns to ski/board here. The ski school has figured the kids out. Their ski classes are the best. This resort gets of the deepest powder in the Wasatch range of mountains, nestled inside which... More

We did not come to ski, but to hike. We heard recommendations that the hikes were nice. Spirit Lake was at the start of the hike. We hiked up to Lake Solitude. It seemed more than a mile to the lake. The path to Twin Lakes was closed for construction. The chair lift was operating. Some people were playing the... More

My wife and I drove to Brighton while visiting Utah. We arrived in Brighton on a beautiful morning, and put our dog on a leash and went for a walk around this ski area. Within in 10 minutes we were approached by local residents telling us that having a dog in Brighton and its associated canyon (Big Cottonwood) was illegal,... More

If you live near Salt Lake City, you really need to visit Silver Lake. It's a beautiful lake near Brighton Ski Resort, at the end of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It is a great place to visit with young children, there is a boardwalk that goes most of the way around it that should work great for a stroller. In the... More

This was my first west coast ski resort and I felt a bit underwhelmed. I had just come from snowshoe in WV and felt brighton was not a good representation of the huge mountains I was told about. However, it was a wonderful location to start off, the instructors were really nice. The food and amenities left something to be... More

Brighton is very kid friendly. Good terrain for all level of skiers and snowboarders. Lots of lifts service several different areas which have everything from glades to cliffs to bowls. Bus service available from SLC. Great place for families.
