My husband and I came through in July on our honeymoon planning to do an overnight at White Pocket. Unfortunately, just as we arrived, he got hit with one of the worst migraine's he's ever had in his life. Susan and our guide, Mike, were incredibly accommodating of our sudden change in circumstances and we were able to make last-minute... More

We did hike The Wave on our own the day before but, as Susan promised, this one is even better! It gets more and more exiting and you just can't stop taking pictures of these extraordinary landscapes and rock formations. Forget going there alone unless you have a very serious 4WD and you know how to drive it. In any... More

My girlfriend and I had a very positive experience with Paria Outfitters. We stayed in the bed and breakfast two nights, July 25th and 26th. The room was very clean. Each morning Susan made us a fantastic breakfast of eggs, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. She also prepared a great lunch. I am a vegetarian. Susan could... More

My daughter and I used Paria Outfitters to guide us to the remote area of White Pockets in the Vermillion Cliffs. Although Susan and Steve Dobson(the owners) were unable to guide us we had a photo guide to help us to not only get to the area but helped us immensely with the photography particularly during Sunset. The trip out... More

While we were on our day long trip with Steve Dodson of Paria Outpost and Outfitters to Coyote Buttes South and White Pocket I sometimes wondered if we were still on earth itself - the landscape was SO unique !! After traveling 90 minutes off road(and I don't mean a graded dirt road) , we reached our first destination. Steve... More

We have incredible souvenirs our our one half day hike with Susan. The landscape is one of our favourite in the world ( and we do travel a lot) and Susan is the an amazing guide: knowledgeable, sensitive, intelligent and witty. We will certainly come back a day for another amazing adventure. Thank you Susan:-)

We stayed here one night while we were spending 3 days out at the Vermillion Cliffs. Only 1 room is available, so book early. Susan prepared a delicious, home cooked meal the next morning. I attached a picture showing the room which is very basic, but you can’t beat their hospitality, shower and a bed in the middle of nowhere!... More

We spent 4 weeks in the US visiting NPs including Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons but our day in the Vermilion Cliffs area with Steve Dodson ranks as one of the best of the whole trip. We especially enjoyed the remoteness and lack of other tourists (S. Coyote Buttes permits are limited to 20... More

Susan and Steve guided us for two days through the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. They were the first outfitters in the area and know the best sights and sites, whether you are a photographer, hiker, or nature lover. Their knowledge, skill, and welcoming attitude is invaluable. When we told them that we had not obtained... More

My wife, son (13yo), and I toured White Pocket and the South Coyote Buttes with Steve Dodson on April 10 and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience! Just getting to the sites on the unmarked, sandy roads would have been impossible for us without a strong 4WD and an experienced guide like Steve who knows those roads like the back... More
