Its good place for kid's interest and ok for adults. I liked their gift shop though.

River Bend Nature Center offers the Ruby N. Priddy Nature Conservatory, the only conservatory housing only native species of butterflies as well as plant species native to the Rolling Plains and Cross Timbers regions of the Great Plains. Accessible paved trail through 15 acres of native river bottom woodland. Open Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sat.; 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. Sun.

Children and adults love River Bend! Wonderful Nature Center with so much to see. Go at Christmas to see the lit up Christmas Critters!

Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Because of the time of year, plants and flowers were not at their best. Staff in gift shop were great. A young lady told us about some of the inside caged reptiles. Even let us touch them. The butterfly house was dull. The few butterflies were a bright spot. Plants were sparse.. Well worth...

They have made many upgrades to the place over the last few years. It used to just be a nature trail with a gift shop, but now they have many small scale events there. They have a beautiful pavilion and terrace that they rent for weddings.

The docents were great! My 4 yr old granddaughter requested that we have it here. During the Christmas season they have Electra Critters. It is an outdoor christmas display that you walk through. We all had a blast!
