The Texas Collection has been rated as among of the world's top specialty libraries. No, this may not be the place for your next family vacation, but if you want to delve into the history of this once nation, now state of Texas, you will find vast and fascinating resources.

What an incredible place. Beautifully keep library with fantastic history. Quietly awe inspiring. If you're on campus for a visit, it's worth stop even for a few minutes. There's history too. The library caught fire in the early years and students risked their lives to run in and save the history. Part of the wonderful history of the oldest institution... More

The Collection has archival restrictions--you must lock up everything but... More

The Texas Collection houses so many things that it would be impossible to name them. They have everything from the sublime to the ridiculous but all if historical in someway. Many treasures are in this collection.

Family friendly, very interesting. I believe only open during the week so check first. Parking is not easy-park near Sid Richardson-in visitors lot.

Every Texan should visit this library. Actually, you need to plan several visits to take it all in. It is well maintained and a great collection

The Texas Collection was once saved from fire by students at Baylor University. It features artwork and a ton of Texas history!
