The Mayborn Museum is fun. They have exhibits about the geology of central Texas, the Waco mammoths, indigenous people, early settlers of the McLennan County area, and a few other things. The kids' area on the second level is also fun if you're older and willing to set aside your pride for the sake of fun.

Took the grand kids to see this Museum and they enjoyed it. They have been several times and like doing the interactive exhibits that are in the building.

I took my four young kids and we had a blast. I enjoyed the water room the best but the music room was nice too.

I took my daughter here a few months ago and she loved it. They have different rooms with names about what the room consists of and different activities for all ages. We spent hours here and shopped at the gift shop.

The traveling exhibit will keep adults coming back for new adventures and the discovery center is a never ending learning tool for the kids.

Its really easy to get to and the bathrooms are super clean. The outside houses you can go in are super cool. When we went there, there was a lot of parents just letting their young children run around alone while they sat and talked. A lot of the hands on things were broke or missing and just kinda ran... This place offers something for all ages. There is a children's 'hands on' museum down stairs. Up stairs an interactive museum with everything from 'how sound travels' to 'how the eye' works. There is an interactive place to give your own 'weather report.' It is air conditioned and spacious. There are interactive exhibits for a 'tea party', or how to... More

I didn't really learn much, nor did my teenage son, but I think it would be a worthwhile visit for children.

Great interactive Museum that is for children from 1 to 20...or the young at heart. My son had his 6th birthday there and LOVED it.

We wanted to go to the zoo but the weather was threatening so we went to Mayborn as a fallback. We paid extra for the Shipwrecked exhibit - somewhat small but only $2-3/person. The SW exhibit was decent with some interactive activities (treasure concentration, hurricane wind tube, robot arm control) as well as interesting and informative displays about shipwrecks /...
