On the beautiful Baylor University campus, the Mayborn, although small, is a wonderful learning opportunity, in a beautiful setting, and will charm young and old alike. Not only are there ancient artifacts, animals of the region, and tales of Indians, but out back is a typical 1800's settlement with a drug store, school, barns/animals, homes, and blacksmith shop, all set... Fun place to take family. Lots of interactive things for kids to learn from like the bubble maker! Good display of Mammoth bones that you can walk over.

My 3 year old loves this place. He goes from room to room over and over playing with everything in each room. I love that it promotes learning play and kids think it's so fun. My little one asks to go to the Museum all the time!!

Saw the odyssey marine exhibit of treasure from the SS republic, the Tortuga, and other wreck sites. A very intertaining experience. Also saw their permanent displays on natural history, paleontology ad archeology.

Very vivid exhibits with lots of displays that really show you what they are trying to get across. It is much more aimed at children though.

We had a fun time, but because of the free admission, it was super crowded! The kids were engaged and had a great time playing in the Discovery Center. Because of the large crowd with so many little kids, there was a definite risk of kids getting separated from parents, but we kept track of four without any issues. We... More

I have been to several children's museums in at least a dozen major cities across the U.S. This one is by far the best in every aspect. If you haven't been here your missing out. It's is also the least costly one I have been to.

Great place to take the grandkids. Very interactive and the traveling shows are always a real hit. There is also a small display from the Mammoth site.

Disappointingly thin collection of art at this museum -- which was deserted the day we visited -- at wealthy Baylor University. But the campus is interesting and worth a little time.

Informative, hands on displays. Great for teachers and kids. Alot of bariety: sounds, touches, visuals, etc. Free on Sundays.
