Just move to the area and are looking around for things to do. The zoo is small - but very clean. The exhibits are unique because you can feed the animals. They walk right up to you and eat fro your hand. For children 5 and under - its perfect. The zoo will hold their attention, and its not too... More

I typically love zoos no matter the size but all of the animals seemed sad at this zoo. The spaces each animal were housed appeared too small and not well equipped. None of the animals were active. Just left feeling bad for these critters and contemplating how we could free the animals (kidding that's illegal).

This is a smaller zoo. So if you go knowing that then its OK. I was not expecting a huge zoo but also was not expecting it to be as small as it was either. There were plenty of birds and snakes. We got there about an hour after they opened. But the lions were still not out. We had... More

The zoo is small but kept clean and animals are taken care of. Zoo has shows that are fun and instructional with hands on activities. The animals are mostly native to the area butt they are still cool.

I understand that, at one time, the Texas Zoo was a pretty cool place but it must have a long time ago. My grandkids were bored after a few minutes...the lionesses mournful cries are so sad and, despite numerous fundraisers to improve the zoo conditions, it remains out-dated.

Even though this is a small zoo it contains many animals native to Texas, in addition to the lion exhibit. There's even an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the birds. It's a beautiful little zoo with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We love the Texas Zoo and carry an annual zoo pass. Our kids love to spend an afternoon looking at and feeding the animals, and we enjoy the various special events they hold.

I stopped her on a day that was way too hot and only stayed about 15 minutes, but still found it to be well worth a visit and would likely return. While it may be the smallest zoo, I have been to. It was well done,

Definitely not worth the cost of admission. And the train is little more than a motorized toy driven by a teenager. My children did enjoy themselves for the 20 minutes it took to walk through the whole place, seeing the few animals that were there, but we all expected much more. The majority of the staff were all rude. The... More

The zoo is small but the exhibits are nice! Lots of shade. Well worth the money. Staff is super nice. Great place to take small children.
