Even though this is a small zoo it contains many animals native to Texas, in addition to the lion exhibit. There's even an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the birds. It's a beautiful little zoo with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We love the Texas Zoo and carry an annual zoo pass. Our kids love to spend an afternoon looking at and feeding the animals, and we enjoy the various special events they hold.

I stopped her on a day that was way too hot and only stayed about 15 minutes, but still found it to be well worth a visit and would likely return. While it may be the smallest zoo, I have been to. It was well done,

Definitely not worth the cost of admission. And the train is little more than a motorized toy driven by a teenager. My children did enjoy themselves for the 20 minutes it took to walk through the whole place, seeing the few animals that were there, but we all expected much more. The majority of the staff were all rude. The... More

The zoo is small but the exhibits are nice! Lots of shade. Well worth the money. Staff is super nice. Great place to take small children.

Since moving to the area in June we have been to the zoo twice. The zoo is small but has a good selection of animals. Our first, we found an unexpected guest in the bird habitat. Our second visit the Bengal tiger was roaring and then started lunging within his habitat. The zoo takes about 30-45 minutes to view. It's... More

Was able to go to the Texas Zoo with my boys on numerous occasions. Had so much our last trip. Plus, you can feed the duckies.

The Texas Zoo is nice for the size of zoo it is. I was a little underwhelmed by what little choices you had. The mosquito issue made are stay much shorter then expected. I do feel with support the Texas Zoo can be as nice as larger city's.

Unfortunately it is a very small zoo. It doesn't take long to walk thru and see everything. What animals are there are pretty interesting. Definitely worth going at least once.

They had a wider variety of animals like lions and tigers, no bears (oh my!). The newest edition is a shy jaguar, They have an area that is closed off and you can go in where there are birds flying around free. The train is cute and a nice added touch. Due to the proximity to the river and water,... More
