I'll admit I have mixed feelings about zoos in the 21st century and have visited some of the best ones around but now wonder if they are the right way to teach about animals. This zoo is very small and from the history at their website I learned that it came about when someone gave a lion to the mayor... More

Pretty small zoo but the kids always love this type of attraction, they loved the snakes and tornado experience. If you are in Victoria with young kids worth the visit .

A relatively small zoo but was a lot of fun for the whole family. Especially getting to feed some of the animals.

I had previously saw this little zoo and last year it was small, but still neat. This past year we went for Earth Day and I was really disappointed. They are building on to it and adding things, but none of those things are animals. -They took out the petting zoo *which was fun for little guys) and added in... More

Coming from San Antonio which has a huge zoo that takes all of one day to see, I loved the size of The Texas Zoo. A great place for families as it is fully enclosed and parents have a direct line of sight at most times. It has nicely set up exhibits and a lot of interactive activities for the... More

This is a shady, relaxing zoo that is great for smaller children because you don't have to walk miles. You can literally park by the entrance. It is small, but the animals are very close to you. I like how they had a lot of Texas animals. My kids loved feeding all the birds. Their favorite part was feeding and... More

We got to this very little zoo and found we had to pay extra for a sea lion show even if we didn't want to see it . The entrance fee was the same . Also, the petting zoo was closed but they didn't tell us that. It is very small. I won't go back again. It only took us... More

Took our grandson to his first zoo. He is 14 months old and thought it would be perfect. Went on a Thursday. Very few people were there. The sun was shining so we thought it would be perfect. I remember taking my grown children years ago. I truly don't remember it being like it was. The animals looked well taken... More

Located in Riverside Park, my husband and I visited while taking a drive to the Texas coast. It is reasonably priced for the amount of animals inhabiting this zoo. Nice variety of birds, a few primates, a few native to texas critters, a couple of tigers and lions, and some reptiles. It was a wonderful place to stop and stretch... More
