We took our four year old granddaughter to the Texas Zoo in Victoria, Texas on March 23, 2015. It was an excellent experience for her. The zoo is just the right size for little ones and their parents. The price is moderate, allowing families to enjoy the day together. Food sales are available on weekends.

It was very busy when we visited. There were a lot of school children on trips. The zoo is very big ,so once through the gates, the crowds thinned out. The cages were large and all the animals seemed well looked after. We saw a lot of unusual animals compared to the zoo's in England. I enjoyed watching the young... More

It is a very cozy place with a lot of new exhibits opening soon. And the price is very reasonable for families.

From the outside, you'll see that the zoo is tiny, but you'd never know it from the inside. It's laid out very well, and feels way bigger than it is. Lots of monkeys, and daily shows where they bring animals out to interact with guests. Not very expensive, and a good way to pass a couple hours.

We visited there on a rainy Saturday, and we're treated like royalty. We got to pet a snake, and alligator, a possum, and a pair of javallenas. We fed all kinds of birds, including the free roaming peacocks, a turkey, some emu, a dear , some spoonbills, ibis, ducks, doves, and parakeet. We saw lions and tigers , monkeys and... More

I love this little zoo! My granddaughter is 2 and loves the great outdoors. The size and layout of this zoo is a perfect place for the littles ones to run free. There are plenty of animals to feed and even a train to ride. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Planning to visit regularly.

The Victoria zoo is simple, loving, and inviting. You can spend all day there or just 30 minutes. It's easy for small children to enjoy and be done quickly. It's nice for adults who just want to connect with animals.

Although this is a somewhat smaller zoo and does not have giraffes or elephants, it is still excellent. We were VERY impressed and it is especially fantastic for small children. We completed the entire zoo in just over an hour before the little one had a chance to tire. She totally delighted in being introduced to the many different animals.... More

Visited this zoo last year. It is small, but nicely laid out and enough animals to spend a very pleasant few hours. I will enjoy returning again.

The zoo is not the big but it is a very sweet place to take a stroll and enjoy all animals. The bird area was fun since you're able to feed them. It was also nice seeing the peacocks roaming around the park and not caged. Not too keen on the chicken coop but regardless we had a good time... More
