The zoo is small but the exhibits are nice! Lots of shade. Well worth the money. Staff is super nice. Great place to take small children.

Since moving to the area in June we have been to the zoo twice. The zoo is small but has a good selection of animals. Our first, we found an unexpected guest in the bird habitat. Our second visit the Bengal tiger was roaring and then started lunging within his habitat. The zoo takes about 30-45 minutes to view. It's... More

Was able to go to the Texas Zoo with my boys on numerous occasions. Had so much our last trip. Plus, you can feed the duckies.

The Texas Zoo is nice for the size of zoo it is. I was a little underwhelmed by what little choices you had. The mosquito issue made are stay much shorter then expected. I do feel with support the Texas Zoo can be as nice as larger city's.

Unfortunately it is a very small zoo. It doesn't take long to walk thru and see everything. What animals are there are pretty interesting. Definitely worth going at least once.

They had a wider variety of animals like lions and tigers, no bears (oh my!). The newest edition is a shy jaguar, They have an area that is closed off and you can go in where there are birds flying around free. The train is cute and a nice added touch. Due to the proximity to the river and water,... More

My husband is working in Victoria right now. I brought our 8 y/o grandson down to hang out with us and see some sights. We decided to go to the Texas Zoo yesterday. Perfect size. We had a great time. They are doing some remodeling for the lion exhibit. We saw a show. He was able to pet a king... More

Great place for kids. Not a ton of animals but a very very nice selection. Leopards to snakes and owls to alligators. Fun for all ages.

Ok, I wanted to like this zoo from the impressive reviews but uh, no. It's not bad at all, just very small and the animals are basic.. pretty much ones you can find in the prairies and nothing spectacular. Red wolf, grey fox, hawk, owls, boars, etc. The tiger's area was nicely layed out and the lions had a neat... More

We really liked this zoo. It is very small, but that makes it much easier to get around that the huge zoo in nearby San Antonio. You wont find Elephants or other large animals, but they have some very frisky lions and tigers. The day we were there an Australian outback show with kangaroos. The grounds are old school with...
