This was our second visit to the Graceful Ghost. We took the steamboat tour several years ago under previous owners. This time, we were in a pontoon boat with eight other people. It was a beautiful, late April day, before Texas gets too hot. Captain Byron was great, very interesting and funny. He actually taught these Native Texas boys a... More

This was a great trip for families. The entrance is a little shady, but the people are great. More

We took a late afternoon into early evening tour on a pontoon boat owned by the "Graceful Ghost" company; we didn't ride the steamboat but saw it and its seemingly-happy passengers disembarking. Our pontoon boat tour was well worth repeating. The price was reasonable at $20 per person for an almost-private 1.5-hour tour of the evening with a knowledgeable, humorous... More

With its' scenic cypress trees and lily pads, Caddo Lake is one of a kind. The steamboat ride is well worth the time and money. More

My aunt and uncle had read about the graceful ghost in a magazine article (AARP I believe). Whoever wrote a positive article about this SHORT SHORT boat ride, must have been taken on a different ride. We hardly went anywhere (a few hundred yards from the dock) and then came straight back. In total it was maybe a 35 minute... More

We paid $18 each for an "hour" on the lake. We should have been warned when we noticed how dirty the guide was and that we paid one place then followed the guide to where the boat actually docked. Wow. Yes, we could definitely tell it was homemade. We went down one tiny finger of the lake, getting stuck because... More

This tour was incredible! What a bang for the buck, rather than the paddle boat I was able to get on a pontoon boat with four other folks. Our guide was knowledgeable and always ready to answer any questions we had about the area. He allowed us to stop and listen to the incredible owls and other wildlife in the... More

We decided to do the pontoon boat tour that the Graceful Ghost offers as well and we are so glad that we did!! Captain Byron was so wonderful and educated us on the history of both the lake and the town. We were even lucky enough to spot an 8 ft. gator!! You can always tell when someone loves what... More

If you can't get out to the Caribbean or Alaska this year for that "once in a lifetime cruise" then you have got to visit Caddo Lake and board the Graceful Ghost Steamboat. Captain Ron provides the navigation and the show (comedian, historian and naturalist). Caddo Lake provides the setting and was strikingly beautiful on our recent visit (December). We... More
