We enjoy Caldwell zoo! In fact we have the family pass membership so we can go as many times during the year and we get discounts in the gift shop and restaurants, the package is well worth it!

I have been visiting this zoo since I was a small child in the 1970s. Many changes have occurred over the years, which have only improved the experience for visitors. I absolutely love this place, and visit as often as I can when I return to Tyler.

We love this zoo, so much so we are yearly members. What a great way to unplug and spend time with your kids. The kids never seem to tire of the bird feeding zone, the penguins or affordable snow cones. We go sometimes and my husband meets us for lunch at the snack shack. The food is actually really good... We make it a point to always visit the local zoos when one is near. The Caldwell Zoo was a VERY good zoo. The layout of the zoo was well done for the animals and especially for the visitors. What got my attention the most was that the animals seemed healthy and happy in comparison to other zoos we have... More

What a find! Well planned out and taken care of. Plenty of shade and a good variety of habitats and animals. Have a snack at the cafe and enjoy the view.

This Zoo was very well maintained. Beautiful landscaping and exhibits! We especially loved the Africa exhibit with Giraffes, Elephants, and Zebras. They had many locations that let you get very close the animals! Great Zoo!

Caldwell is a gem for a mid sized town. The facilities and exhibits rival those of larger zoos in Dallas, etc. The care taken is evident in the animals behavior, the zookeepers interaction with guests and the cleanliness. Membership adds some neat perks for kids/families. To be 100% fair, I will say that the snack bar leaves a little to... More

Caldwell Zoo has been a Tyler institution for as long as I can remember. The habitats where the animals live are amazing and everything is very professionally presented. Kids of all ages will love it. It's like being on safari without the time and expense. Wear a hat and be prepared for the high humidity we experience here in East... More
