The Caldwell Zoo is a wonderfully kept small zoo. It's just the right size for all ages. Not too big. Not too small. It started as a private zoo in the Caldwell's backyard and was free until a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The zoo was small but very well done for town the size of Tyler. UT represents a significant investment for the community.

Been here 3 times so far.. will go back! This zoo is outstanding for the size of city Tyler is -- about 90,000 pop. All the animals were well cared for, had lots of shade and access to water...in Texas that's a must. Zookeepers are always tending to the animals, and will stop and listen if you have a question.... We recently had the privilege of visiting Caldwell Zoo on a sunny afternoon. The animals were in excellent condition and acted very comfortable in their surroundings, which were beautifully landscaped, with lots of covered areas for both man and creatures, and benches everywhere to both rest and view the animals. One of the best parts of the landscaping is that... More

I think the Caldwell zoo is a great place to visit. It is clean and well laid out. Would highly recommend if you are looking for some entertainment for the kids.

Just a bit dull;(. Having visited many zoos around the country this one is badly in need of updating. Just didn't feel it was worth the price. Fine for small children but I've been once and see no reason to return.

This is a great zoo. It is kept clean and has a great variety. There is a place to eat hamburgers, hot dogs, etc and a gift shop.

It is not the biggest zoo we have been to, but we always really enjoy it. The grounds are very clean and has a good variety of animals.

This zoo was just as wonderful, if not better than, the Dallas zoo. I enjoyed it as much as my 7 year old!
