Was a wonderfully set-up zoo. Had a great time seeing the lion play with their cubs. It rained when we went so it wasn't too hot or busy! Was able to see a zookeeper feed the penguins too!

The Tyler zoo is a hidden jewel in East Texas. Although smaller than the zoos in big cities, it is just as well designed. It is beautifully kept, and any person, old or young, can be completely entertained for a few hours in this lovely setting.

Really enjoyed this Zoo. I loved the different angles that you have to see the animals. The staff was super friendly and were eager to please. I really liked the bird cage. The whole Zoo can be seen within 3hrs. Good snack bar.

This is a fantastic zoo, great assortment of animals, wonderful natural enclosures and friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. It is possbile to see a wide variety of birds without fences and cages between you and them. I had the occassion to ask several zoo staff about animals I had seen and they were able to answer my questions and were... More

This is a very nice small zoo. Well shaded, clean, and not too big. You could spend as much or as little time as you wanted. There is a snack bar where you can stop and get a sno cone or a hot dog, I stopped for a frito pie and watched the giraffes get a treat. The animal habitats... More

Caldwell zoo used to be free, but I think there is an admittance charge now. The parking is free. It has a decent elephant enclosure and lots of nice bird exhibits.

This is a great place for all ages. Small zoo so you don't get tired and very shady. Our Papaw would let us grandchildren run wild. This was in the 60's when it was free to get in. Many generation of our family keep coming to the zoo year after year. For the price of admission it's well worth the... More

More birds than anything else. My little one wanted to see monkeys and we could not find them. Liked the free parking.

Great place to visit when with a group of all ages. I love the smaller size, yet you feel like you see a wide variety of animals and birds. The trees and flowers are lovely - especially the shade that they provide! Also, it's wonderful that many benches are on hand for those who need to sit and rest for... More
