This Zoo is a gem for Tyler. Very good value and lots to see. The exhibits were very well designed for a small zoo. This place definitely overachieves

If you are in the Tyler, Texas area the Caldwell Zoo is a must see. it has beautiful landscaping and it is very family friendly. Most of the animals live in enclosures that match their living habitat. It has a very nice cafe and gift shop. There is also a petting zoo for the smaller kids. I always take out... More

It was well maintained for a little zoo and we really enjoyed it. I've been to Houston's, Memphis', and Columbus' zoos and this place has a great layout and friendly staff.

this little zoo has everything the big zoos have but you don't feel lost. You have time to look at all the animals in the zoo and when the personal interact with the animals you can see the care they give to the animals and how they care. We couldn't find an animal until we looked to the far fence... More

It is a nice little zoo and is laid out very well for viewing the exhibits. It does have a nice array of animals and creatures to see with different viewing option in some area. The grounds are nice and the zoo is kept clean. I do think some of the areas are to small for the animals that inhabit... More

Not too big, not too small, just right for a visit with young children. Plenty of unusual animals and most of the iconic animals you expect at any large city zoo. Lot of wows from the kiddos. The facility is well-maintained and clean. Surprised to find this in a city like Tyler. The Caldwell Foundation should be proud of what... More

This is one of our all-time favorite zoos! The themes and variety of animal enclosures really add interest to the experience. Be prepared to walk a bit - it is not a small zoo. The variety of animals is really impressive, with a strong attempt to place each one in a backdrop of their natural habitat. Our favorite ... the... More

Went here during the annual Recycle Day where admission is free if you bring an outdated phonebook. I like that this zoo is not too big and not too small. You won't see polar bears or panda bears here but the selection of animals seems impressive for a town of this size. Efforts are made to keep the zoo attractively... More

This is a fantastic zoological garden, not at all small city. There is an excellent array of animals. The animal enclosures were large and clean, with the animals easily observed. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gift shop has a wide selection of goods, from inexpensive to pricey. Food prices are reasonable... More
