This is one of those cozy, intimate zoos reminiscent of some of my family's faves, like San Antonio and Tucson. Those, and Tyler's, are the opposite of the giant zoos that sprawl for miles and take a half day to digest. You'll whiz through the Caldwell in between one and two hours, depending on your speed, yet you won't feel... More

I was impressed with how much I enjoyed visiting the Tyler zoo! It was so clean and beautiful throughout the park and they had great exhibits. My favorite is the African animals exhibit, where the elephants, zebras, ostrich, wildebeest, giraffes, etc are all in one very large enclosure. This is also where they have covered seating with tables and you... More

This was our second visit to Caldwell Zoo and it was still awesome. They had 4 new lion cubs so that made us add the zoo to our itinerary this trip. The cubs were so cute! Be sure to go see them if you get over there in the near future. The wild bird walk is so much fun. We... More

All the schools within 50 miles make the zoo their spring field trip! Not kidding! It is a wonderful zoo, bar none! Not too big that you can't see it all, but the habitats are so natural. Don't like the snake house, but I HATE snakes! I felt like I was going on a safari when we sat & ate... More

Tyler has an amazing zoo! If you are "zoo people" the Tyler zoo is a must see. The natural habitat is wonderful for the animals and makes the visit to the zoo a "happy visit". The viewing areas are great and there are lots of photo ops. The variety of animals on exhibit is exceptional for a zoo of this... More

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this zoo. The last zoo we visited was the San Antonio Zoo and Caldwell Zoo was far better and cleaner. The exhibits are well maintained and most of the animals look like they are in their natural habitat. The lion cubs were adorable and we got to watch the elephant presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed... More

I love this zoo! It is a great place to take small children as they can really see all of the animals in very natural environments. All of my kids and grand children have enjoyed their visits. We were able to see the giraffes up close. Great viewing area for watching the rhinos and elephants.

This is a delightful zoo. The landscaping is well-manicured & the workers take pride in keeping it clean. It is the perfect size for pre-schoolers & under. Also, it is mapped out perfectly. In the halfway point, there is a cafe with lots of shaded outdoor seating. From your seat, you can see the elephants, giraffes, & zebras grazing. Additionally,... More

This is a small zoo, but is beautifully maintained. The grounds are lovely and mature trees and landscaping make for lots of shade. The Zoo's cafe is on an elevated balcony in the giraffe and elephant enclosure. The admission price and cafe prices are quite reasonable and they reciprocate discounts for zoo members in other cities (okc zoo members receive... More

I may be a bit biased as I have lived here my entire life and gone to Caldwell Zoo since I was a child. However, my wife and I love to visit different zoo's and make a point to go any time we are near one. I say that to say that Caldwell Zoo is one of the best you... More
