This is such a beautiful place to visit, not only for the array of animals that are in top condition and look so healthy but the gardens and floral baskets that enhance the whole experience. It's a very relaxed zoo and you feel free to wander and linger, everything is very clean and they have a lot of animals and... More

Great place to travel to with kids, or on your own. Like a small version of the San Diego zoo without the crowds.

Tyler has one of he best zoos I've ever visited. You can get really close to the animal exhibits and it has a great family friendly atmosphere. The zoo is always clean, and you have to go to the interactive bird feeding exhibit - it is great!!!!

One of the cleanest Zoo's I have been too. Many wonderful animals. Well worth the trip. My grand children LOVE to go there.

I thought it was a nice place when there was no charge for admission. An OK place to go spend the afternoon with the kids. But now they charge admission, and to us, it just isn't worth it.

Our 5 and 6 year-olds absolutely love this place - great overview of the savanna animals (giraffes, elephants etc.) from the on-site restaurant, usually much less crowded than other zoos in Texas, a lot of fun activities (bird and fish feeding etc.)

Was a wonderfully set-up zoo. Had a great time seeing the lion play with their cubs. It rained when we went so it wasn't too hot or busy! Was able to see a zookeeper feed the penguins too!

The Tyler zoo is a hidden jewel in East Texas. Although smaller than the zoos in big cities, it is just as well designed. It is beautifully kept, and any person, old or young, can be completely entertained for a few hours in this lovely setting.

Really enjoyed this Zoo. I loved the different angles that you have to see the animals. The staff was super friendly and were eager to please. I really liked the bird cage. The whole Zoo can be seen within 3hrs. Good snack bar.
