Nice for a short stop.

I enjoyed the weekend here (camp in small TT) but this park is not without some issues. Trailer pads are elevated and you have a steep angle to back over. Our small trailer... read more

people at the gate are very rude and weren't at all nice or helpful to our family. We've had our family reunion there for over 30 years and this year they wouldn't even give the group discount even though we've always had a large group. Also I told them I had a family member who was disabled and they needed... More

Abilene State Park We loved our stay at this park. It is a wonderful place for quiet and peace in the great outdoors. We found that even when it got busy on the weekend, it was still quiet. Most of the campsites are private with brush and trees on either side of the site. The sites are mostly covered with... More

I enjoyed the weekend here (camp in small TT) but this park is not without some issues. Trailer pads are elevated and you have a steep angle to back over. Our small trailer scraped bottom backing up onto the pad and broke a shower drain off ($5 repair). Drought has had an impact on the park and especially the lake... More

A nice little park to visit. We stopped there for two nights. RV, three adults (one in wheelchair) and two dogs. Lots of shade. Large, level campsites (ours was anyway) and looks to be well maintained. Clean and accessible bathrooms. All of the facilities we checked out were clean and well maintained. Friendly Staff. The trails we went on were... More

We camped here for 2 nights over spring break, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to come back when the pool opens up! Our site was huge...enough room for 2 large vehicles, our pop-up camper, and a large tent. Not all the sites are huge...I believe we were in site 70. The bathrooms/showers were kept clean and... Great camping spot with a LARGE pool and public buildings. Cabins or pavilions can also be rented if hosting large parties.

This park has a large swimming pool, lots of huge trees, day picnic spots, overnight camping. No screened shelters but they have yurts.

Takes forever to get checked in, they always mess up the check in, sometimes make you come back the next day because they don't understand how to put a person in a campsite in their computer system, plan on the check-in taking 30 min if you are lucky, warning don't let the old lady check you in! That doubles your... More
