We made the three day two night trip w/ our daughter, son-in-law and eight yr old granddaughter the end of April/May. We had a very good trip, the food was great, w/ plenty to eat. And the guides Patrick and Jenny were very good. Our granddaughter especially loved Jenny and followed her around like a little puppy dog. Jenny had... More

My wife and I took a four day canoe trek with guide down through bochillas canon. The guide was amazing and a heck of human being. Water was low but he found every deep channel. The food is great and abundant. We had steaks the last night- amazing! Saw horses grazing and a five day drive along the river. Thank... More

You have to do this if you go! Highlight of our trip. Our guide was really cool. Kind of funny, we saw him hanging out at the starlight theater the night before, unwinding from a long day driving people around. He was informative and answered a lot of our questions. Worth the money! Bring your camera More

Our two day overnight on the Rio Grande was truly a bucket list trip. Initially we were hesitant to spend those vacation dollars on our family of 5 with kids under 6 but what a pleasant and gorgeous trip!!!! The guides, Travis, Tim and Maria were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the river, animals, stars, flora and fauna. We had... More

We did the ATV (all terrain vehicle) tour once again, but this time brought a couple that had never been to Big Bend. They were really impressed with the scenery (like kids in a candy shop). Most of the indigenous plants were blooming amn it was very colorful and beautiful. Attached is a picture of an ocotillo bloom. As usual,... More

My first trip with Far Flung was an overnight float thru Santa Elena canyon a few years ago. It was so great that we wanted a longer trip, so this was a 4-day trip in canoes through Temple Canyon. (We had booked for Boquillas Canyon, but due to the water conditions, and our physical condition, our guide suggested a last... More

We did an all day canoe trip on the lower Rio Grande in Big Bend. The entire experience was worth every penny. Very well organized and professional. Our guide did an outstanding job of pacing the trip for everyone in our group, assuring everyone was always safe and sharing a wealth of information about the plants and animals, history and... More

While there to sign up for a canoe trip, my 14 year old son convinced me to also sign on for an ATV ride. Though I had some trepidation about the ATV! I quickly caught on and enjoyed the 3 hour trip. We were adequately equipped with helmets, the ATV had an automatic braking system and I felt safe. Our... More

We rented inflatable kayaks here to paddle into Santa Elena Canyon. The staff was extremely helpful and got us completely lined up for our day. Another business down the road had been rude to us when we tried to rent with them, but Far Flung was great... We really appreciated their help and will definitely return my business with these... We did the full-day river tour and had a lot of fun. Our kids (9 and 10) loved paddling down the river. The water is low, and there is virtually no current, so we were paddling the whole time. We had to hop out of the canoe occasionally to drag it off of the rocks. The scenery is beautiful, and... More
