We were really pleased with the job FF did with our group. The office staff is a little slow in filling you in on details (not as helpful in describing options and times as we would like compared to past experiences--but adequate). The good news is that the guides make up for any of their shortcomings--and then some. They are... More

Could not have been a better experience. So organized, well equipped, great guides. It helped that the week before the river had really come up, erasing all traces of humanity from the canyon. We got to see a tranquil, pristine, awesome spectacle of nature. FFOC provided our sleeping bags, mats, tents, and terrific food. How those folks could whip up... More

As first-time campers, we took the overnight raft trip through Santa Helena canyon. Your guides will carry all the gear for you, and take care of the cooking during this trip. Our guides Tim and Laura were incredible... Imagine waking up surrounded by the canyon and enjoy a real warm breakfast!!! Just a MUST to do, and it gives memories... More

Just arrived back from a terrific three day trip in Big Bend at Far Flung Adventures. We stayed at the Casitas, did the 3-hour ATV tour and rafted in the Boquillas Canyon for 38-miles and two days and I'd recommend it to anyone. First, the Casitas: a cabin that comfortably fit two queen sized beds, a large bathroom, and a... More

Fredy and I took the half day canoe trip down Dark Canyon. Our guide, Reed was awesome! He really knows the history of this place and had some awesome stories to tell!

We spent an amazing day with the very friendly and riveting guide Billy, who not only entertained us but also made us, a family of reserved and quite unadventurous Brits, feel totally at ease on the river. The day began early at the Far Flung headquarters in Terlingua, where we were greeted enthusiastically by the staff, who booked us in... More

We did a one-day float through Colorado Canyon this past Friday and had a blast! The scenery is indescribably beautiful in this neck of the woods making it a bit of a challenge to decide where to look at any one time -- but no worries because there is plenty of time to see it all. What really made the... More

Far Flung exceeded our expectations before we even arrived. We were delayed due to a flat tire in the middle of nowhere a Texas and thought we would have to cancel, or at least settle for a day trip. But (due largely to the fact that we were there off season, but also because they are great people), we were... More

The absolute best way to see Big Bend is from The Rio Grande River! We took a 3 day river trip through Boquillas Canyon. The canyons and surrounding desert are just beautiful. And no matter how hot it is (we went in August), the river is there to cool you down. Far Flung was excellent at taking care of all... More
