Took the half-day raft trip in Big Bend Ranch State Park, which adjoins Big Bend National Park. The scenery was beautiful on the ride over and back. The river ride was quiet and sedate with a couple of bumps. The scenery was lovely during the river trip which took us through Dark Canyon. This is a good first time rafting... More

Big Bend is one of the most beautiful, rugged, unique and remote places I have ever been and due to this fact, I wanted to visit it through a company that was well respected in the region - FAR FLUNG. I could not have been more impressed with the hospitality, friendliness, and level of service that they provided me and... More

My wife and I took a "Round the Bend" Jeep tour in November of 2014, Had an excellent guide that could tell us all of the background history of the park. She knew all about the geology, plant life etc. She let us decide where we ultimately went and made great suggestions! Well worth the fee for the tour!! I... More

What an amazing vacation! We still haven't stopped talking about it with our friends and family. We stayed 3 nights in a beautiful Calista and everything was perfect. The staff was amazing! As we were leaving at check out, we realized that we'd forgotten our credit card at the Starlight Theatre (which doesn't open up until 5pm), Randy was on... More

We spent 3 nights at the Far Flung Outdoor Center in November of 2014. This is truly the best place to stay in Terlingua. The casitas were wonderful and well laid out. We were extremely surprised by all the little things that they had thought about. It had rained the day of our arrival and it was quite muddy -... More

I couldn't have asked for more...a trip to Big Bend to hike in the autumn. Of course, the weather was out of our control and we spent most of the time in clouds and drizzle, but the Far Flung guides were excellent in all aspects of this trip that could be 'managed.' Adana, Thomas, and Dean all possess good people... More

My wife and I have done two trips with Far Flung (one in 2010 and the other in 2014). In 2010, the water was high enough that we went through Santa Elena Canyon. In 2014, we went to an area south of the national park. You can count on Far Flung to have your safety and enjoyment as their most... More

My husband and I did the jeep 360 tour. JD was our guide. He was funny and very personable. Hr was very knowledgeable about the mountains, plants, history, and animals of the area. The trip was around 4 hours. Water was supplied you just had to bring your own bottle (you're told this before hand). We would definitely go on... More

We were really pleased with the job FF did with our group. The office staff is a little slow in filling you in on details (not as helpful in describing options and times as we would like compared to past experiences--but adequate). The good news is that the guides make up for any of their shortcomings--and then some. They are... More

Could not have been a better experience. So organized, well equipped, great guides. It helped that the week before the river had really come up, erasing all traces of humanity from the canyon. We got to see a tranquil, pristine, awesome spectacle of nature. FFOC provided our sleeping bags, mats, tents, and terrific food. How those folks could whip up... More
