It was a nice long walk out on the jetty. Mostly flat concrete to walk on. It was windy and overcast so we saw only birds but I heard you can sometimes see more marine critters around.

Fishermen love these jetty's. It was cold when I was there but everyone seemed to be having a great time! It should be wonderful in the summer.

I go here with my daughter when she and I come to Surfside and I just brought my husband for the first time. No matter who you are with it is great. Watching the fishermen, dolphin, turtles and large ships just can't be beat. Try to get there when the sunsets to watch the colors across the sky and water.... More

I enjoyed walking the jetty and watching the fishermen and sometimes entire families but it's shocking how people can't walk their lazy As to the trash can and dump all the TRASH they brought to the park. How hard is that. I will admit that the jetty didn't have any trash cans but they can easily take their trash to... More

Our family of four enjoyed fishing and walking the jetty, after picnicking in the covered pavilion. The wind was constant and strong. The fishing was pretty fun. We saw black dolphin fins surfacing which was exciting. One of the fisherman nearby caught a baby blacktip shark he released. Our disappointment really, was the lack of trash cans, and the many,... If you like to fish off of the jetties this is your place! Lots of people & lots of room! Shell seekers have pretty good chance around the shoreline of the jetty by the park to find some although mostly lots of pieces!

Cute little park- We watched a tug go out and bring in a ship. Found some amazing shells, but i had to climb down off the side of the jetty to get to them. Wasn't too crowded, but there were several people fishing. looked like they were catching, too!

The Surfside Jetty Park was our preferred destination because of the available parking right at the beach and the maintained restrooms that are available here. The park offers so much more, though: a lovely grassy area for the kids to play, covered picnic tables, a sandy beach, and a .6 mile long jetty for a leisurely stroll (The jetty was... More

Great place to relax...hang out...see nature. It's wonderful year around. Those who are into bird watching..there is so much to see. Sand here is brown. So many things contribute to that. Sit and check it out. I find something new nearly every time I go.
