It was 74 degrees- not much wind and a lot of Sunshine! Surfside rocks! The beach was clear of the stinky seaweed. There was no trash and all the trash cans were empty. Everyone was friendly and we had a great day playing tag with the tide. Please note- it costs to drive on the beach-the dunes are anchored by... More

Really nice beach, not a lot of development in the area, and you are able to drive to a secluded area on the beach to have the desired privacy required for you and your family.

If you think you would like a small, quiet town right on the coast with a long clean beach, lots of birds, a nice place to stay and lovely little seashells then look no further. I just left and already wish I could go back.

Had a great time in surfside, stayed there for 4 days and three nights at the Ocean Village Inn and walked up and down the beach of Surfside. It was off season so it was quiet and very few people around which we loved! Beach were clean and very little seaweeds around. Most restuarant were with walking distance within each... More

Come over the bridge on HWY 332, and turn right at the stop light. Go until the dead end, take a left and go to Surfside park, there by the jetties for the old Brazos River. There is ample free parking here. This park to access the beach is free. If you walk out the jetties into the surf, be... More

Off season so they stopped raking seaweed from the beaches. Would have been awesome if the beaches were raked - water was crystal clear.

I love this beach despite all of the seaweed on the shore. It was sprinkling on us the whole time we were there but that did not stop us from trying to have a good time. I will go back.
