We really enjoyed the experience, the wine and the view. They offer taste testing in 2 different areas. One for their casual wines and at a nice bar they offer there reserves and fine wines.

Outstanding visit on a Sunny Saturday. The day we went there was a live band playing. There is also small cheese plates and crackers for purchase. The wine tasting is interesting. Best of all, you can enjoy a bottle of wine on the open deck under an oak tree. Some visitors also brought their own food.

This winery definitely merits a stop on your Texas Wine Country tour! You can enjoy your wine on the patio enjoying the breeze and some of the prettiest scenery around. On weekends there is live music. But we always choose to avoid weekend visits if we can, preferring the quiet serenity of the place. We belong to this wine club... More

This is a great winery to sit on the patio and listen to live music. It sits atop a hill so there is a great view and breeze. The wine is really great too. This is one of my new favs when visiting Fredericksburg. The turnoff is about 7-10 min from downtown.

Glad you enjoyed our wines and the deck. There has been a lot of rain this spring, but when it has been nice, the view from the deck has been especially beautiful. Please do visit again! More

My wife and I toured many wineries on the Texas Wine Trail, and this place definitely had the best wine. Their Spanish style tempranillo red wine with the "long finish" was an amazing, new taste sensation that I'd never experienced before. Had to buy a bottle of it! The estate itself is very nice, a little bit off the "main... More

Thank you for taking the time come out to our place. I am glad you enjoyed our Tempranillo. Dave, our winemaker, really strives to get the best finish possible on the wines. It is unfortunately illegal to ship wines to PA, but if we could, we would love to have you as part of our wine club. More

I did the Reserve Tasting with two friends on a recent Saturday and was really impressed with the wines and the tasting. The Reserve Tasting is more expensive than the regular tasting at $25 per person, but you get to taste the reserve wines and are lead through the tasting by a very knowledgeable sommelier. The wines here are more... More

Having visited numerous wineries during our texas tour we found this one very expensive. The views were lovely and the staff friendly but for 3 tastings and one cheese plate between the three of us was $140. We usually buy a few bottles but we couldn't afford it here.

Thank you for posting this review, because if you indeed had just three tastings and an artisanal cheese plate, the most you should have been charged is $80. Please contact the tasting room with your receipt number at 830-644-2037, and we will review your charges. More

Had a friendly winery experience here. Was serviced by a very nice tasting rep Pam. She introduced us to a bit of The Perdanales wine-story history & varietals. The wines are dry & Amazing...GSM & Tempranillos, dessert wine is a moscato so good. The property is beautiful kind of hidden, you go thru a small rust gate & drive about... More

Thank you for taking the time to find our place. It is a little off the main highway, but has the advantage of the quiet and view. The mid-week is definitely the best time to come since there are fewer guests and one can take full advantage of the hospitality in the Hill Country. Please do come back! More

We were here mid-week, so it was not crowded. We did a standard tasting, 6 wines for $15. The sommelier who took care of us was obviously new on the job and did not really know anything about the wines other than what was already printed out on the menu in front of us. She was using a little cheat... More

Thank you for visiting, and I am glad that you enjoyed the Tempranillo and Moscato. I am sorry that your server was not able to add the kind of detail that you were looking for. We are always looking for ways to improve staff training, so thank you for your observations. More

We visited the Winery on a recent trip to Fredericksburg. We were not big fans of Texas wines but Pedernales Winery changed our view. My wife and I spent a pleasant afternoon at the winery partaking in a Sommelier wine tasting, that was worth the extra money. This award winning winery had some great options and we ended up joining... More

I am glad that we were able to change your opinion about Texas wines. We are currently doing Reserve Room tastings with a sommelier on both Saturdays and Sundays, so I encourage you to book in advance if you are coming back this spring. More
