The first time we visited was in August of 2013. We were out with 4 other couples on a Jeep ride. We stopped in for some tastings and two of us became wine club members. Upon arriving back in Katy several days later, we both had hand written thank you cards and references to our "Jeep Ride" from Mike our... More

The tasting room deck offers a beautiful view, but the wine is over-prices and the staff are inattentive and rude.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience when visiting our winery. I would very much like to hear more about your experience, so we can add it to our staff training. Please contact me at wine @ pedernalescellars.com if you will. As for the price of the wines, we sell largely our higher end wines... More

Wonderful experience. A couple of miles drive off the main road (Highway 290) a few miles east of Fredericksburg. The tasting room is extremely nice and the wines are wonderful. But what catches your attention is the beautiful scenery. Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck or on the swing looking out over miles and miles of beautiful Texas... More

Thank you for visiting. We are a little off the beaten track, but it does have the advantage of giving us a view of the Pedernales River valley. Please do stop again! More

Award winning wines says a lot about the wine tasting at Pedernales Cellars. For those Tempranillo lovers; this is a must stop. The 100% Tempranillo was our favorite. The tasting room is large, with several areas to accommodate crowds. They also have 2 private tasting rooms. It is a lively place, due to its reputation as a favorite stop of... More

This is another fabulous stop on the Hill Country Wine Trail if you will. The staff here was attentive and explained the wines very well. There is a lot of buzz being generated on the Tempranillo and it did not disappoint. The views here were equally as impressive if not more so. We got lucky as its been in the... More

Glad you visited on what sounds like a lovely day in the Hill Country. It is nice to hear from someone who appreciates Texas Tempranillo. It is a grape variety that does really well in the Texas terroir. We do offer cheese plates for purchase, but for those who want something more substantial we are very happy for people to... More

We went during bad weather so we practically had the place to ourselves, it was great! The Tempranillo Reserve was fantastic!

January is hands down the best time of the year to visit wineries if you want personal attention. I am glad you braved the weather to visit us, and enjoyed the Texas Tempranillo Reserve. Please do visit again. More

We went near Christmas so there were Christmas lights up, but it has an awesome outside patio with a splendid view of the grounds. We sat outside even though we were the only ones out there. They had heaters set up around the patio. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Would like to go back in the spring to see... More

The wine is respectable but when mixed with the 'big views' of the hill country, it becomes a nice retreat. If you are looking for a 15 minute wine tasting experience, you will not be disappointed as the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. But to really experience Pedernales you should buy a glass or bottle of wine to enjoy on... More

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to enjoy the view from our deck. The 2012 Tempranillo Reserve that you mention is a wine that we are especially proud of. It won, among other awards, a double gold at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. Please do come back in the new year to sample the 2013 vintage. More

We stopped here on our way out of Stonewall (after a lovely visit at Rose Hill Manor which adjoins the winery property). It was 10:30 in the morning and, courtesy of a large group, the place was lively and a lot of fun. We really enjoyed the wines poured and the hospitality of a number of staff members. A very...
