My husband and I visited on a Wednesday and were the only people there for most of our visit. Rick did our tasting and he was awesome! Super knowledgeable about the Texas wine industry and the Pedernales cellars wines. He went through each wine with us describing characteristics, varietals, tasting notes. We enjoyed this winery more than any other we... More

We participated In a tasting in the library, and it was a great experience. It was educational, fun, and an overall great experience. Their Moscato is one of the best in the region, but they also offer many other excellent options. I did find the wine to be quite dry, so keep this in mind. My only complaint is that... More

Pedernales Cellars is perched on a hill overlooking the Hill Country and has a beautiful outdoor patio. That being said, the price they charge for a tasting is not justified, considering they do not off a full array. They offer plenty of reds, but whites are limited, VERY limited, and when it's over 100 degrees outside, whites are the choice... More

Thank you very much for your thorough review. I am glad you appreciated the patio. Our regular tasting costs $15 for a flight of 6-7 wines, which is fairly common for the Texas Hill Country. We also offer a seated reserve tasting for $25. Our portfolio of wines does contain more reds than whites, which is a reflection of what... More

We were on our way to Fredericksburg Tx for the weekend with friends and stopped at several wineries for tastings along the way. This was one of the best we have visited. It sits up on a hill with lovely views. They have regular and reserve tastings. The wine is excellent. We purchased some of the Family Reserve. They have... More

Thank you for visiting. I am glad you enjoyed your time at the winery. The Family Reserve is one of my favorite wines, and I hope you enjoy drinking it later on. Do visit again! More

We had a great white wine tasting here, but was most impressed by the property and views. With more time would be a nice visit with a cheese tray and friends. Samples were good enough to buy a bottle and put it on the list to return to next time. Near the top of our wine trip list.

Thank you very much for visiting. Do come back the next time you are in the area and enjoy the view from the deck over some wine and cheese. More

We visited this winery with friends as our last stop on a day of touring local wineries. The scenery is beautiful and the patio is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy your wine. I wish we had more time but we were in a hurry to make our dinner reservations so if you do go allow yourself time to... More

Thank you for visiting. Please do return to enjoy the view from the deck over a glass of wine. We have live music on Saturday afternoons, or if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, consider visiting mid-week. More

Had a nice presentation. I thought the wines were good but did not feel that they did not warrant the bottle price. We bought a cheese plate and enjoyed a glass of wine on the porch. I thought the view was lovely.

Thank you for visiting. I am glad that you enjoyed the presentation of our wines by our staff and had time to sit on the deck with a glass of wine. We do reserve our more exclusive wines for the tasting room, and because of their limited quantity they are more expensive. In your local wine merchant you will be... More

This place has possibly the rudest management we have ever witnessed. This is supposed to be a tasting room. When we asked to buy a glass of Rose since it was not on the flight list to sample, the long blond witch manager advised the junior sommelier, just no. No explanation. Are you supposed to buy a bottle of wine... More

Assuming that you visited on July 15th (the date the review was posted), it was indeed the case that the Rose was not available by the glass. In any given week, we only have a select number of wines available by the glass, and they are indicated on our menu. Why? Just like restaurants, who also have a limited number... More

Only had time for 1 winery stop this vacation, so chose Pedernales Cellars mainly because of its location - gorgeous farm country. I did the small flight and tasted a white, a few reds and their moscato. It was too hot to visit the outdoor patio, but they have a beautiful outdoor seating area and also have music on occasion.... Saturday was my second trip to Pedernales Cellars and the day I became a member of the wine club. Undoubtedly some of the best red wines I've had the pleasure of enjoying. I'm not a fan of sweet wines, but the Texas Dulce gets two thumbs up from all the sweet fans I know. Since my first visit, they have... More

Welcome to the wine club! We look forward to seeing you at events. I am glad you enjoy our reds and white port, Dulce. I am sorry that the club lounge was crowded when you were there. It is our intention to expand it in the future. More
