This is a just ok winery!

We made this our first winery to visit along Texas's 290 Winery Trail near Fredericksburg, Texas and were not that impressed. Maybe if the private party wasn't going on it would... read more

The one unique thing about this location is the sit down service rather than the typical wine tasting bar at most other places. Property doesn't have any outstanding qualities and unless you're drinking a wine that the hostess likes there is very little interaction. The white wine tasting here weren't to our liking, too oakey and buttery for all the... More

We made this our first winery to visit along Texas's 290 Winery Trail near Fredericksburg, Texas and were not that impressed. Maybe if the private party wasn't going on it would have been a better experience. We were just not that impressed with the grounds and the set up. Though they do offer seating for the the wine tastings, the... More

They do things different here at a Woodrose Winery, which works but they always seem to be doing "private parties" which are wonderful things, but it sort of makes a distraction to your wine tasting experience. The "sit down" tasting is great, as well as the different "Flights" you can choose to taste the wines, but there isn't much to... More

We are always here for whatever special dinners that they put on, but I had to comment on the 4th of July. The BBQ was amazing and the fireworks display was a display I've seen no where else! This is a must do. If you aren't a member, shame on you ;) Join and spend lots of money, the owner... More

Of the six wineries we hit on this tour, Woodrose was our favorite. Sit down tasting and you choice of four flights: red, white, sweet and Mike's Choice. The tempranillo was my favorite, took home some. Girlfriends fav was the Yellow rose.

LOVE THE SITTING DOWN!!! It was so great that wine tasting was so peaceful and at was at our pace and our tables! You guys know what is going on! Don't change The fact that you brought the tour buses in a different place than the rest of of us is really special. I think you guys are a head... More

We visited the winery and loved it. This winery uses an outdoor setting. Customers are seated outdoors on a patio area rather than standing around a counter at the other wineries. Winery staff move from table to table to serve you. This was a nice touch. Great customer service.

Woodrose Winery has a big, new beautiful barn and kitchen that is used for special occasions. Since we were in Texas for the holidays, we made a visit to pick up our club wine package. On the day we picked it up, the winery was providing food pairings to go with each wine. The food was just divine, In fact... More

Woodrose Winery is still a bit of an unknown winery along the 290 wine trail in Fredericksburg, TX and in my opinion is the best value for the money with both outstanding red and white wines. It is a wonderful tasting experience, as you are served at a table seated either inside or out and also have several options for... More

This winery has a vast selection of delicious wine. The staff is extremely knowledgeable of each and every wine. My fiancee' and I attended a special "Soups Around the World" with wine pairings. We had the best time ever and the soups were absolutely delicious! We have been there several times and will continue to go there for fun, good... More
