Nice place, even if not a wine afficionado

I've actually been here twice in the last couple of months. They host a 10k/half marathon in December, which was a great setting for a run (not to mention you get a free glass of wine and local beer afterwards). They have two buildings, with a little store and tasting area in addition to the main building. I'm not a... More

We were invited to a private event here which featured their wines, lovely food, and fun music. It was a super venue for a relaxing day in the Hill Country. It was casual and fun- I definitely recommend this if you are looking for an event space. As an out- of town guest and former Austinite, I was impressed.

To be right up front, I own Heart of Texas Wine Tours and I bring my customers here often, but I wouldn't if it wasn't an excellent winery. One of the oldest wineries in the area, you will be warmly welcomed as soon as you arrive. First, by the owners dog who will greet you as soon as you pull... More

A little off of the beaten path ( I love that) and literally at the end of the road the delights of the Spicewood Vineyards are worth a stop. You will be treated as a welcomed guest and delighted with a nice tasting selection. I was so pleased I joined the wine club!

Came here with a group of 11 people for a friends birthday. GREAT service and beautiful place! Wine was good but not outstanding. If you're in the area it's definitely worth stopping by!

Stopped by on my ways to a girls art retreat! It was located way off the main road within a tree grove. Large tasting room with seating along with a lovely outdoor porch. A guitarist played and you sipped your wine with some cheese and crackers. I tried a local white, really nice. The cheese and cracker platter was so... More

My wife and I visited this passed week and did wine tasting. It was a normal place like most vineyard out of the way but not too far. Had a pleasant time with Dan working behind bar and he talked told stories and gave us the story on their wines. We were very impressed and happy to have found and... More

Surprised some wines weren't local, from CA or WA. Some weren't super flavorful. Staff, soooooooo very nice. Good value $10 for 7 wines and glass.

We got there on a very busy Saturday afternoon. It just started to rain and the place was already busy plus they had a wedding going on in their other room. After being told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and having a area taken from us for our wine tasting the owner gathered all the people that had been... More
