We got there on a very busy Saturday afternoon. It just started to rain and the place was already busy plus they had a wedding going on in their other room. After being told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and having a area taken from us for our wine tasting the owner gathered all the people that had been... More

We loved the scenery/patio at Spicewood, but found the "hostess" at the wine tasting less than interested in us and what we were all about. We went to nine wineries in six days, buying at least a bottle at each, and joining two wine clubs. All in all, we've visited 22 vineyards in the hill country in the past three... More

Beautifully nestled in the serene surroundings of the Texas Hill Country, you will find this unique family owned Vineyard. One of our choices along our wine trail this weekend and what a great choice it was. The wine was excellent - the staff was very hospitable and the atmosphere was perfect!

We visit the hill country 5 or 6 times a year to enjoy the wine. Over the years we have hopped from vineyard to vineyard, but now we make trips specifically to visit Spicewood. This is the perfect place for not only tasting some of the best wine in Texas, but also for just hanging out and enjoying a picnic... More

Tucked away in a gorgeous setting about 3 miles off main road. Beautiful patio and tasting room! The folks who operate this establishment are super friendly and laid back. $10 for tastings of very ample samples of 8 wines. You can also purchase a glass of wine for as little as $5--and the glasses are yours to keep. Lovely hill... More

This is a very nice winery. It is off the beaten path and has some nice grounds. We have never stayed for a glass of wine and sat out on the adjacent patio, so I cannot speak to that. They do have 2 larger dogs on the premises, but they are very friendly and reserved. The day we were there,... More

What a great place! $10 for a wine tasting of about 10 wines and a complimentary wine glass! The red wines are superb! You will love The Good Guy!

Awesome setting and enjoyed the wine tasting room. Ample sampling and purchased a semi-sweet Riesling. Staff is well versed and informative on wine pairings options. Thoroughly enjoyed this winery setting.

I really liked this winery from the minute I walked in. It is a smaller winery. We were warmly greeted by the staff. We were the only visitors in there, but both workers took a good deal of their time to come talk to us. The wines were really good (especially the Tempranillo), and we ended up joining the wine... We live in the area and stop by Spicewood Vineyards a lot. It's a great little property with some pretty great Texas wines to boot! We enjoy buying a bottle (our favorites are the Pinot Noir and the Tempranillo) and chilling at any of the outdoor tables for a bit. They also have events throughout the year that are always...
