This nature center is a voice for dolphins wild and free, we do not keep them in captivity. We do have DAILY BOAT tours to take you out to meet them. Our facility has touch tanks and marine exhibits to help all who visit understand how we can help save our oceans. Our boats still go to meet our dolphins when the large tours do not have enough people to go we go for just four people

We took a dolphin tour last week, and had a wonderful time. George and Scarlett are in the process of training a young man to handle tours, so we went out with Ford, George, and Gorgi the dolphin dog. The boat was much larger and more comfortable than I had imagined, and gives protection from the sun if you wish... More

There are several dolphin sighting boat excursions to pick from; so glad I picked this one. First, we were very blessed as the weather was great. We went out on a pontoon boat--each excursion is a max of 6 people and we had 4 people. The boat ride alone was fun; it was like being on a private boat. Our... More

Bottom line - very unprofessional company. We thought we had a reservation, but the owners just handle things in a way convenient for them. No respect for the time and money of their potential customers. We called George when we were in south Texas area, to see if it would be possible to go on a tour. The only reason... More

If you are travelling to South Padre Island this summer, you must stop by the Dolphin Research & Nature Center. It is located in Port Isabel near the lighthouse. Scarlet and her husband run the Nature Center and have small boat Dolphin Watch tours. Scarlet took us out for a most impressive tour. She knows exactly where the dolphins can... More

We have been enjoying Scarlet and George for over 15 years. It's an experience you and your family will never forget. Their "relationship" with the Dolphins is unbelievable and their passion for nature/conservation is something everyone can learn from. Always worth the price and bring your camera for sure. Must see and should be the #1 thing-to-do in SPI !!

Cost was a higher than the bigger commercial outfits but it's worth it. They have a maximun of 6 people per pontoon-like boat and there were only 4 in our boat. Much better than scrambling with 40 other people to see. Loved Gordy the dolphin finding dog and yes she runs and alerts you to where a dolphin is!! Tour... More

This is a very small nature center that is pretty basic and down to earth so don't expect tours and multiple exhibits. What you will get, however, is opportunities for you and your kids to hold starfish and hermit crabs, and look at a variety of ocean life in small tanks. There is a small room with an educational movie... More

As we age, there are few things that can grab us and yank us back to the freedom of our youth. The dolphin excursion with Scarlet Colley was one of these things. The captain of our excursion, Scarlet, placed the boat in neutral, and we sat in awe as the dolphins were drawn to the boat with the mere sound... More

A great day out and absolutely worth it. Scarlet brought us out to hopefully catch a glimpse of a yellow mangrove warbler and sure enough, it didn't take long for her to hear one first and then spot one in amongst the mangroves. Brilliant! I was very impressed with her bird identification skills and her ability to locate dolphins, as... More

Love the people it was fun gonna do it again. This weekend was kinda foggy but still fun. I would definitely do it when the skies are clearer and water is clearer too.
