Our family of six had a terrific time with Scarlet. She is quite a character! We loved seeing the dolphins doing their thing in the wild and had such a fun afternoon in a very different way than your typical tourist attraction. Felt like we were spending time with an old friend. If you are as lucky as we were,... More

Today we had the wonderful opportunity to meet some wonderful dolphins with Scarlet and her crew of Rozzie the dog and Penelope the pig. Scarlet is passionate and knowledgable not only about the dolphins but of other wild life we encountered. Sadly the 1st dolphin we came across was a friend of Scarlet's named Canopener that had died. She felt... More

Took the tour with Scarlet. A very interesting person. Loves her dolphins. She had her dog Rossi and a pot belly pig on board the boat. Did see dolphins. The Nature center was just ok.

Scarlett is truly a unique guide and her connection to the dolphins is obvious in her words and actions. The boat ride out was as much fun as actually seeing the dolphins. They actually came very close to us, even touching our feet that were hanging over the boat. At the beginning of the trip I had camera handy ready... More

Small little center that had interesting sea life to see in tanks. We watched the dolphin video that was interesting. There weren't as many touch tanks as expected but it was ok.

The research centre is a worthwhile visit for young and old. The movie is excellent and the displays interesting with the help of the site interpreter. $3 donation

My husband and I really enjoyed our birding tour with Scarlet the morning of March 2. She asked what birds we wanted to see and worked hard to find them for us. The "mangrove" warbler was a beauty, and seeing a seaside sparrow was a first for us. Scarlet also found roseate spoonbills for the other gentleman on the boat.... More

I never miss going out to visit dolphins with either Scarlett or George. Its an annual trip must do!!! You will learn about the pods... dolphin "parenting"... feeding etc. These are wild dolphins who choose to live in the Laguna Madre. CHOOSE to live here wild and free. If you are happy to see them they are happy to see... More

My sister, niece and I went on the Dolphin Tour with Captain Scarlet on Sat., March 1st. We LOVED the entire experience. We saw 20-30 dolphins swimming, feeding and playing. Scarlet seemed to have a special connection with the dolphins, knowing several of them by name. She also pointed out landmarks along the way plus giving us the names of... More
