There is nothing more romantic then watching the sun set
while on horseback. The ride will take you on the Laguna
Madre side of South Padre Island. This should be on your
bucket list of things to do with the one you love.

I have nothing but good things to say. The horses are gentle, our guide Alica was awesome, and we loved every minute of it! If you're lucky enough to get Alicia as your guide - tip her well! She's worth it.

My 6- and 8-year-old children enjoyed horseback riding tremendously! The 6-year-old was on a horse attached to the lead guide. The 8-year-old rode on her own. We took the four o'clock, one hour tour. Just the right amount for the three of us!
We got some amazing pictures, and recommend this experience wholeheartedly when visiting South Padre! A well-run organization,...

Great family fun. First timers and experienced riders welcome. Guides pleasant and attentive, and make sure you are safe. Hour and half ride on mostly isolated part of beach.

Of all the activities during the week, our 9 and 7 year old kids liked the Island Equestrian Center the most. One of the guides rode next to our 7 year old's horse while the...

As a family (husband, wife, girls ages 9 and 11), we had a great time. Horses behaved themselves for the most part. One was a biter, but not too surprising--always seems to be one. Just keep distance from other horses/riders. I recommend wearing capri's or long pants although not absolutely necessary--would not recommend short shorts. Take along a small camera....
