Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds-- 80% goes to help sea turtles locally, and 20% funds other sea turtle projects around the world. Every person visiting So Padre should go here to learn about the Turtles. Plastic bags in the ocean looks like turtle food.

Small sea turtle rescue. Lots of rehabbing turtles and interesting stories about the turtles. Not depressing as I thought it would be. Not just for kids. Everyone needs to see this exhibit and become aware of how people affect sea life.

It was donation for entry. I loved all the turtles. It is incredible to look at what they do to help the turtles. It also raises awareness to help protect them. Definitely worth the stop.

I love turtles, and here you get to see them up close and personal! When you arrive, the first thing you see is the amazing sand sculpture out front. Inside are many different tanks with all kinds of sea turtles that have been rescued. You learn all about turtles and how they are rescued and rehabilitated to be released back... More
