Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds-- 80% goes to help sea turtles locally, and 20% funds other sea turtle projects around the world. Only a $3 donation, really neat to see up close. We went when there was a school there on a field trip, so we got to sit in and hear about all the facts and where the turtles came from and it's actually a turtle hospital!

Incredible how these amazing people have helped the turtles. The kids learned so much & felt such compassion for them, it's a great family experience.

Great conservation efforts. I didn't know this place existed until I saw an article about it in Austin. It opened my eyes to the things that can hurt the sea turtle population. "Amigo" is my favorite turtle.

What a wonderful place. The effort being put into the preservation/rehabilitation of these turtles is phenominal. The information provided was more than informative and the fact that it survives on visitor donation surprised me. I would have willingly paid an entrance fee. Keep up the great work!!!!!

I think it is truly amazing what they do here! There are many sea turtles that you can see up close & you also get to read what each hospitalized turtle has gone through, which makes it even more touching. It's a real eye opener to how endangered these animals are. There is also very interesting signs/posters that you can... More

This attraction is essentially a hospital for sea turtles. I believe all of the turtles there had been sick or injured. Some of these turtles will be able to be released while others will most likely live out the rest of their days there. The staff gave a great informative and entertaining presentation on the different types of sea turtles... More

We stopped here to take a look and an intern came over to us and was extremely knowledgeable about all the turtles in the hospital. We learned so much about them. It's a building that's actually indoor/outdoor so it was very comfortable walking around with the breezes blowing through. Fun place to visit for a few minutes. It's small, so... More

This place does a lot of good for wounded or stranded sea turtles. we watched them tending to 2 wounded turtles. There are plenty of turtles to see. Alot of information posted about the turtles. Employees very nice & informative. Anything bought in the gift store goes to help the turtles.
