Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds-- 80% goes to help sea turtles locally, and 20% funds other sea turtle projects around the world. This was an extremely awesome and informative place! I am so thankful for the work they are doing to help injured turtles. Prepare for large crowds and make sure you don't go on a Monday! We had forgotten and had to go the next day. Very much worth the visit! The turtles are amazing!

Just to remind everybody this place is "not" free, they run on the kind donations from the visitors. We enjoyed our visit and the educational information about the turtles. This place needs so many improvements and can not do it without your donations or by purchasing items from the gift shop. We never realize what these poor turtles have to... More

Our family love, love, loved our visit to Sea Turtle, Inc.!!!!! People may not realize what a special and rare opportunity this is to see these sea turtles up close in a rehabilitation setting. The staff is amazing and they are doing incredible works here in South Padre. My teens kept going back during our stay to check on the... More

What a place! So much love for these sea turtles. My family loved this experience and the close-up encounters with all of these sea turtles. These people were so passionate and kind. Definitely would recommend this place!

We got there one day after the last turtles were released... what a downer, that was my whole plan for my trip but I had no idea that turtle release season would end before SEPT. I FB them to ask but no one responded back so I assumed it was good to book my trip when I did. Anyway the... More

The turtle exhibit of Ridley's was very informative about the dangers to sea turtles by the land lubbers. We took home a great appreciation for what they are willing to do to help this species grow.

Every year we adopt a long term resident and enjoy the hatchling releases. Kids and grownups alike learn from the lectures and seeing these wonderful creatures.

We visit Sea Turtle, Inc. annually - they do tremendous work to save and rehabilitate sea turtles! The last two years we have been lucky enough to get to see releases of baby turtles into the ocean - spectacular!

The layout and flexibility of the place really allows kids to roam around and look at whatever interests them. There is also enough science based information for adults to learn something. A South Padre Must See!
