It's a small, cool place where sea turtles are rescued, rehabilitated and returned to sea. It's free and you only need 30 minutes to stop by. They have a donation box if you are so inclined--small gift shop, no restrooms.

I love this place. The people in charge really know how to take care and inform you about all kinds of different species of turtles. Overall I enjoyed it.

This is a really great place to visit and support. You get to see lots of turtles up close and hear their stories. The staff is very friendly and make it an educational and heart warming experience. They only ask for donations and a great place for the whole family. They also have a nice gift shop there.

It was under 55 F when we visited in mid January, so we couldn't see the turtle tubs. They are working on new facilities and hopefully this will provide for better all year viewing of there projects.

The people who work here are so friendly. My daughter loved the turtles. It was a little bit chilly, but the atmosphere is amazing with such knowledgeable staff. Loved it.

If the weather outside is 55 degrees or more, the tanks are open for viewing. We were there at 51 degrees, so we only got to see th two tanks inside with two turtles in "ICU". No cost, but donations accepted.

I'm pretty confident that visiting these recuperating turtles in their tanks will be the closest I will ever be to a Sea Turtle...they're wonderful creatures, most stories of the injuries are boat-related...There is no admission charge but donations are asked for...and well-deserved...Great T-shirts in the gift shop too...We enjoyed our visit immensely...

As a child growing up in the area, we would walk with the "Turtle Lady", bucket in hand in search of turtle eggs. Not so long ago, Ms. Loetscher lived in a tent, tucked up into the dunes of SPI with her life dedicated to saving the Gulf Coast Sea Turtles. Today, her legacy lives through the valiant efforts of...
