Love this place and its staff - everyone here is so dedicated to saving the sea turtles. Free admission, encouraged donation. They do an informative talk, and then you get to take pics with the feeding of a turtle. We adopted a hatchling. Very fun and a must-do on SPI. Takes about 45 minutes total.

This turtle rehabilitation center is doing some great work educating the public on turtle conservation. Their efforts are beautifully displayed in the success stories adorning the walls. The turtles on the premises are well cared for and used to reinforce the impact of humans on the environment.

Enjoyed seeing the rescued turtles. Thankful for the resources available to help our environment. Try to be there early to see them feed Fred at 10 am

There's no charge to get in but they do ask for a small donation. It was very informative and loved getting to feed a turtle!

Great for kids. Got to see turtles in rehab and a good presentation. You can even sponsor a turtle. Nice break from the sun and the beach.

They are so passionate about their work and always take the time to answer your questions. The plans for the new buildings looks great and I cannot wait to... More

We always visit STI when we are in South Padre Island, and we are always impressed and inspired by these selfless folks that put forth some effort to help save and protect all species of sea turtles. You will learn a lot by visiting and all contributions help their cause.

Went in there thinking it was just turtles in a hospital. I was wrong. It was amazing seeing the stories on all these turtles. Some of them got caught in a fishing net, some had flippers eaten by sharks. Just truly amazing. A place you have to stop and visit.
