Sure, you can go to countless places on the Island to access the beach for free, but none have the bathrooms/showers this one provides! All-important is getting that sand off when you are done! Tip - you simply must stop by the bait shop to purchase at least a drink. What a sight!

We spent an afternoon here on the beach and walking along the jetties. There is a playground and a lot of spots for fishing, and a pretty sizeable beach. There were guys with backhoes moving seaweed off the beach, and one of them brought over a load of sand and dumped it so we could build a huge sand castle-... More

This is a dirty beach, I have been there to clean up on Sunday evenings. There are many other beach access to go that are much nicer, at the Wanna Wanna or Claytons.

Not too crowded for a Labor Day weekend. We went in the evening and watched the sunset. Great place to fly a stunt kite, boogie board, body surf & just hang out with family.

It's definitely not the childhood beach I remember; maybe through no fault of the Park, but perhaps our current, global overpopulation issues. Parking is cramped and unsafe. We just go to the north end, nowadays; especially, since we've discovered Clayton's.

The water was cold the day we went so we spent some time on the beach picking up seashells, which were literally everywhere! The beach was extremely crowded but very nice. The sand and beach in general were beautiful! There was a concession stand and bathrooms with showers.

We went to the beach for morning surf time as my wife's MS does not tolerate heat for long. We got to enjoy our granddaughters surfing and water boarding. We got to walk on the beach for shell hunting.

Everytime my wife and I visit the Island this is the beach we go to. If you go early enough you can watch the surfers which we both enjoy. The water is warm and there is always plenty of shells, if you like finding shells. There is always plenty of parking. If you are walking barefoot in the sand I... More

This is our favorite spot on the beach. They have a deck with picnic tables so you wont be in the sun and restrooms and showers. With a concession stand in case you forget anything.
