I spent an entire Sunday on the beach at Isla Blanca park in mid-July. I can't speak to the RV parking or anything else - just the beach. It was $5 to get into the park, which is immediately off to your right when you get off the causeway onto the island. I arrived at about 10:45 a.m. and got... More

Because we couldn't drive it out on the beach, we went out here to explore a little. The paved roads get as close to the beach as you can on a four wheeler. $5 per vehicle for a day pass. Looked nice enough to me. Didn't explore too much- stayed out of the camping area and it seemed a bit... More

I think we had more fun on the free beaches, and we did here. However this might be a place for families with small children. They have two separate beaches, as well as showers and restrooms. They also have a covered pavilion with a snack bar. There's a five dollar charge to get in. The beaches here also have life... More

The park is on the lagoon side and separated into 2 areas - one that is gated and RVs only, and the a smaller area that has no restricted access just outside the gated area. We tent camped in the smaller area. The only view was of muddy lagoon. And it stunk because of the fishing businesses nearby. The bathroom... More

I didn't spend any time at the beach but it looked fine. I went out on the Jetty several times in the mornings and had some of the most memorable moments of my vacation out there. Saw some great sunrises. I caught a bunch of fish, like Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Whiting, and Sand trout. Had a hit from a Redfish... More

I live in Brownsville and is about 15 min driving. In summer time is very crowded that area. I dont like the fact you're next each from other people very close. and the restroom area is a little dirty. To get in the Isla Blanca you will need to pay like $3 dls I'am not sure. The beach is very... More

400 or so RV spots, most all reserved during winter and summer. Terrible condition, little maintenance, indifferent staff, very poor sites, not level, sand burrs everywhere, pricey, showers don't work, potholes everywhere, most camping spots jammed in tight. The only reason this county can rent them all is location!! So they don't really care if you think it is bad!!... More

Beautiful beach, also plenty of spots for fishing and lots of picnic areas. The park also offers bike paths and restrooms. A nice addition to SPI.

I normally don't write reviews, but in this case I have to. We wanted to meet some friends in South Padre and believe me there isn't too many campground here, only 2! The KOA which is ridiculously expensive and very small spaces and the Isla Blanca County Park. I called or reservations and the girl I spoke to was kind... More
