The oyster shack in the park is a real treat. Simple, but picturesque looking over the water. Good deals like oysters on the halfshell, hot dogs and beer, and other "specials". Really worth going to! More

Beach is open to all, small admission fee. If you're a RV'r, you get a card so you don't pay the fee when you go in and out. Beautiful, with tons of Winter Texans. Do not go in March, unless you are a student on Spring Break!!! More

This park is managed by Cameron County. We lived near here for a while, and visited fairly often. The day use fee is $4 per vehicle, and is well worth it. There are decent restrooms, large parking lots, outside showers for rinsing off sand & salt, pavilions with plenty of seating, a playground, snack bars, chair & umbrella rental (or... More

I spend a couple months inside the park each summer and it truly is a gem of a park. Yes, it is crowded on weekends, and some weekdays. However you have the beach and amenities like bathrooms and food. Biggest plus, best waves on the island are near the jetties. More

They never clean the seaweed or the manta wars off the beach. There was a couple of weeks you could not even get close to the water without stepping over seaweed. They need more workers for what they charge to get into the park to clean up the trash. More

This isn't the fanciest RV park, but it can't be beat for price and location. It'd be great if the city/county would spend some money on the roads, lighting and bathroom. All in all, we'd go back. More

We keep an rv there from Mar 1- Sept 1. It is a real old-fashioned county park right on the Gulf beach. There are full hook-ups, partial hook-ups and tent space available. It is family oriented and supervised by Cameron County. Most spaces are either paved or at least have paved drive runners to park on. It is right next... More

I like this beach. As far as beaches go it's clean, white sand, etc. The only thing I have to say is NEVER go on a holiday. You won't find any parking space or enough space to relax on the actual beach. We tried it once and NEVER again. Since I lived nearby all my life I actually used to... More
