Schlitterbahn has been a family tradition for about three years, now. The kids love it. When we go to South Padre, we drive by Schlitterbahn on weekends and the parking lot is overflowing. We ALWAYS go on a Tuesday or Wednesday and are there waiting when the park opens at 10:00. We have found that we can get through every... More

The hotel resort check-in was at 4pm, but when I called to verify we had to check in at 7pm to avoid them charging us for that entire day of the water park. When we got there, they tried to charge us extra because we had 2 extra children, although we didn't exceed their max rooming capacity. I don't mind... More

This is a great water park for everyone. Spend the day floating the lazy river or go on one of the many tube rides. I would recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks. This is expensive entertainment, so buy tickets online. Get there early to stake out a place to eat lunch and keep your cooler. Also, don't forget... More

Recently brought my 15 and 11 year old kids here, and they had a blast. It was quite crowded, but the staff manages the numbers well. My wife and I did three or four rides, and then sat on the 'beach' with a drink, while they enjoyed the freedom of riding the rest. All of the rides but one are... More

This was a pleasant park. My three boys enjoyed the day. It is a good thing they allow access to the hotel side for non-guests, or it might be a little disappointing. Will probably go back next year. Buy the tickets on-line, they are cheaper that way.

I was so shocked by all of the prices, that no matter how good the water and/or wait staff was, it did not make up for the "airport" price and "hospital" taste food. It might be nice if you are renting a cabana that you are informed you will need a lock and that you should bring your own. In... More

Small but fun water park in South Padre! I think if you had young children then you may enjoy it more. They have excellent areas for the young ones. We were traveling with teens. Our favorite ride was the Torrent river in the indoor water park area. It was so much fun! One day was plenty to experience it all!

Thanks for spending time with us. It's amazing how quickly the Torrent tidal wave river has become one of the most popular rides we have, rivaling the Boogie Bahn, four uphill water coasters and the two four-story slides for popularity amongst the older crowd. Of course, we do offer several kid's areas and mid-level thrills for those in between as... More
