We had a really good experience. I went with my wife and two boys (age 4 and 5), and we all had a really good time. We used the tandem tubes so that the boys would stay with each of us. It would have been nice to know upfront that some of the tubes have bottoms, which make it easier... More

This was one of the worst water resort experiences we've ever had. When we arrived, we went down to the lazy river, which is where you get on most of the rides. The lines were a serious issue. We waited for at least 20-30 minutes for rides that were flat, dull, and offered no excitement. We were there for 2... More

I'll admit this was the best idea we had all week. Although it's a bit pricey, what do you expect from such an amazing destination! The lazy river and slides were fun. And there are snack bars all around! Kids will love their play area!

The park was smaller than the one in Galveston but I really liked that you didn't have to carry your tube around to try each ride. You simply floated into the next slide!

Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed your visit....all Schlitterbahn parks are different and we are fortunate to be on the best beach in Texas, South Padre Island, and also have a beachfront hotel and year-round indoor, heated waterpark. We actually won numerous awards for the engineering feat of being able to float from ride to ride without... More

Schlitterbahn is a blast! I took my two sons, 22, and 26 and we had a blast! Had lunch in the Shimp Haus , which has tons of different kinds of shrimp. Love the floating river, I went round and round!

Thanks for the positive words and they mean a lot for the waterpark and the Shrimp Haus when they come from locals who know all the things to do! We hope to see around the park! Mike More

I would only go to take my 4 kids there and the cabana is a must in case you want to have a place to make a "base" during the day, its worth it. Kids love the place overall! Friendly staff.

PitaRG, Thank you for taking the time to review your visit and we appreciate the high rating. We work real hard to make sure that our staff (over 500!) treat our Guests the way they would like to be treated. Cabanas are great way to make sure you have a centrally located, private area to yourselves for the entire day.... More

1st time here, and I really enjoyed it. You can bring a cooler with lunch or food items, they do not allow bottle items, so make sure all plastic. If you decide to eat at the water park, it is pricey. They have cabanas that surround the river area, that are available for rental ranging from $100-175. I bought our... More

YLozano, We much appreciate the 5 stars and the thorough review! We always love hearing from our first time Guests and getting feedback on what they love and where we can improve. Did you know Schlitterbahn is one of the only parks that allow you to bring in your own outside food and beverages (no glass or alcohol please), plus... More

This waterpark is tinny, they used the place for built a resort hotel next to it, nothing to compare with the original "Schlitterbahn Waterpark" locate in new braunfels. Of course the kids enjoyed, the lazy river is nice, the sand castle is reserved for youngers, the surf area must be manage for more than one person at each time. It's... More

Thanks for your review. Each Schlitterbahn has its own personality and the New Braunfels location has been voted the #1 waterpark in the entire USA for 17 straight years!! Many folks actually prefer the South Padre location due to our beachfront location, having an indoor section as well as an outdoor section, having smaller crowds and the ability to float... More

It was so crowded! There was no where to put are stuff down, and it took us almost an hour to find a tube. There was so many people that the water was the same temperature as the air. It was my second time visiting, and I probably won't be back. The Schlitterbahn in NB will always be the best.... More
