At first it look like a tourist trap...like what in the world am I going to see?! I loved the path loved walking around and enjoying the scenes. There is bird poop all over but...it's a bird sanctuary. We had our cat in a buggy (we're that weird couple that travels with their cat) and he was very happy to... More

This is a beautiful, fairly new attraction that gives you and idea of the beautiful nature of the islands.

Great for birding with great guides! It is worth the price of admission for birding on the property. There are a couple of alligators as a bonus.

If you like looking at birds, then this is the place. They have alligators too, but you don't always get to see them. They have a very nice walkway to look at the birds. Don't forget your binoculars. They have a very nice gift shop also. There is also a butterfly garden, but it has to be the right time... More

This was a nice area to visit. We did see quite a few birds, fish, and turtles. Wasn't the most exciting place for us, but it is worth stopping at. Grab a bag of bird seed in the gift shop and let the kids feed the birds.

My husband and kids were skeptical but we all loved it. Saw lots of wildlife not just birds. Need to visit

Just starting out learning about birds and this is the place to go. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgable even the people doing the birding outside would help out a newbie like me. Keep up the nice work. Well done my new birding friends.

There is a very friendly volunteer who helped us at the front desk. She had a lot of information for us. There was a lot of interesting information and showcases. Outside, there was a 1.5 km walk around the marshes, full of birds and ducks. Serious birders would love this place. It was very pleasant to see the birds and... More

Great place to visit. It was VERY windy the day we visited. We enjoyed the enclosed tower for viewing as well as the boardwalk.

There's alot about SPI that's tacky and dingy, like it's had one too many beers spilled on the carpet. This place is new and really well done, clean and beautiful. The boardwalks must have cost a fortune. The kids liked the alligator and the nature demonstrations upstairs.
