We walked around the grounds on Christmas day. Saw many birds and one of the alligators was sunning in the grass by blind #5.

A very pleasant and educational center. The birds, alligators, and vegetation are quite extraordinary, and you will come away with a whole new understanding of the ecology of marshlands. And quite a number of fine pictures of remarkable aquatic birds. What you see will vary depending on the season. We were there in winter, and found plenty to see, so... More

Spent a wonderful few hours at this birding center and saw many birds. The thing to remember is TAKE YOUR TIME! Don't rush along the boardwalk. By strolling and/or sitting in the blinds, the birds come to you! We saw the brown and the white pelicans. It was a treat to see the white pelicans as we haven't seen them... More

I took the tour which was provided and enjoyed it very much. I went off on my own and explored a few things including taking an elevator to the top of the observation deck. Also watch a fascinating 12 minute movie where i learned quite a bit.

My husband and I really enjoyed this bird sanctuary. The movie was informative. There is a boardwalk that extended over the marsh that housed butterflies, turtles, alligators, fish and birds. There were covered sitting areas that overlooked the ocean where you could relax and look for Dolphins. The vegetation was lovely. We visited in December. There was plenty to see.... More

There were fewer birds than I was hoping but there are no guarantees with Mother Nature. The center is very nice with plenty of different environments. Some areas are confusing; I could see the boardwalk for the Convention Center but as it is a different attraction couldn't get there. Helpful staff who showed photos of various birds we might spot.... More

My husband and I enjoyed the Nature Center. A great walk, and much to see. We did see an alligator, enjoying the day. This Nature Center has become a wonderful way to spend time.
