The Bird Center (small fee) along with the Convention Center (free) next door are excellent places to see birds on their spring and fall migrations. Bring binoculars and listen to all the "pro" birdwatchers as they point their long lenses at the birds. You will learn a lot. More

You can see many species of birds wintering, alligators (although you are lucky to see one), the boardwalk is long, but very enjoyable. More

If you like nature and birding, this is the place to go on the island. They have over 1500 feet of boardwalk over the marsh area to view the wildlife. More
