It's really neat to walk this short trail. REALLY worth the time to see. There is an area to watch the parasailing. REALLY COOL to watch!

I saw frogs, craves, ducks, spiders, birds, flowers, plants. It is ok. You supposed to see alligators. I didn't see any. I couldn't take pictures. My battery was death.

Take your mosquito repellent. This is a short trail staring at the convention center. It is next to the trails at the birding center but not nearly as extensive. It you are into birds it is worth the money to go m-next door and walk their trails.

This is a slightly elevated wooden walkway that extends out a short ways over a wetlands area that birds love. The people at the convention center where the trail starts know nothing about the trail, except where it starts. They have no printed guide about the wildlife one can expect to see. This trail does not connect to the trail... More

We spent a couple hours two different days here...relaxing and feeding the birds. There are many species of birds, crabs, alligators, fish...etc. There are two sides..one that starts at the birding center which costs $6 and then there is a shorter trail that starts at the convention center. Both are worth seeing especially if you love nature.

I enjoyed walking down the trail. It has a gazebo where you can sit and just mediate, read a book, and relax

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this trail. We saw blue crabs, spotted crabs, many fish, great blue herons, a moorhen, red-eared slider turtles and even a baby alligator out sunning! You have to be patient & quiet to see all that we saw, but truly and enjoyable experience!

It was an amazing experience. You could see different types of animals during the walk to the center. They have different types that aren't even by the beach side. So make sure you check out this awesome place when you visit south padre island.

This is the free version of Island Birding and Nature center, exactly located next to it. Entrance is at the conference center. But we're disappointed, need improvement, dirty, the trail need to be maintained. The walkway was covered by tree and its hard to get through it and kind a scary especially if you are with kids. We have to... More
