We visited about a dozen Texas Hill Country wineries during January but this one is distinctive for several reasons. The wines were good, but there were other things that made this place stand out. First is its location. It's way off the Winery Row along U.S. 290 on FM 1376, a secondary highway that runs between Fredricksburg and Boerne. If... More

Our GPS got us lost trying to find Alamos Springs. We have purchased this wine before and were excited to find the winery. There was a charge for tasting but not if you join the wine club. The blended reds are my favorite. We tried eight differs wines and purchased a few bottles. If you join the wine club, you get... More

We found Sister Creek Vineyards when we returned to San Antonio in 1992. We fell in love with their wine selections as well as the old cotton gin building and history. We enjoy the Cabernet Sauvignon blend. After we left the area, it was disappointing to realize that we wouldn't be able to get a hold of this excellent wine... More

If you want some excellent French style Burgundy wines try Sister Creek. It is located in an 1800's cotton gin which makes it very unique. Their red blends are some of the best in the Texas Hill Country.

The winery is housed in an old cotton gin. It has a great country atmosphere, but at the same time, the winery seems to be top-notch. It was a bit crowded when we arrived, but they invite you to take a short self-guided tour of their wine-making process. They offer as many as 8 wines in their tasting at the... More

Anytime we are in the area, a stop by the Sisterdale Winery is a must. I especially enjoy their reserve wines, but all of them are very good.

We had friends visiting from out of state and thought a drive through the Texas Hillcountry would be fun, even if the temperature was 104! We stopped at Sister Creek Vineyards and did the self guided tour and a wine tasteting. It could have been an over the top visit if there was some wonderful music playing inside the building... This is the best kept secret in the hill country. The wine is delicious and were even able to meet the owner!

Drive up to an old cotton gin and sample some of the smoothest wine. Wonderful hostesses just add to the experience.. If your in the area stop by and if your not in the area...make the drive! You will really enjoy Sistercreek's wonderful wine.

The winery is charming and rustic. The staff was very friendly and the wine is great. We stopped because we've been buying their Muscat Caneli for several years and wanted to see where it is made. After a drive through the beautiful countryside, it makes a nice stop. Wine tasting is $5, but a self guided tour is free.
