This makes a great little day trip from Austin or other nearby cities and is very enjoyable for all ages. I took two 5-year-olds and an 8-year-old, and it was one of our favorite outings of the summer. Highly recommended! The historic Aquarena Springs park at Spring Lake is being restored to a more natural state and is now operated... More

The kids enjoyed the glass bottom boat. Lots of sight seeing of the sea. Someone also guided the boat and gave the history of it... They also had a aquarium kind of small but they enjoyed see it and playing with the small colored sand table too. They liked it here..

We loved seeing the fish and walking through the gorgeous scenery. My daughter loved it! The glass bottom boats are so much fun, it's definitely worth the trip!

We were looking for something to do on a hot afternoon with our grandkids. When I was a child this was an amusement park with a hotel, a small cable car ride, various exhibits, and food for purchase. The park shut down and was purchased by the University. This was a great attraction for a quick visit. They had two... More

As a young child I visited Aquarena Springs and saw the mermaids and Ralph, the diving pig. I just brought my children here and it has changed, but now it's so much better. It is now operated by the Texas State University and is so much more educational than it was back then. The glass-bottom boat tour was so interesting,... More

This is not a well known place to visit. It is an eco adventure of a spring that feeds the San Marcos River. The spring is 35 feet deep and loaded with fish, turtles, and other water life. We took the glass bottom boat ride around the spring and the water is very clear. We were able to see lots... More

We stopped here on the way to San Antonio and was very pleasantly surprised by the riverboat and the university/facilities. There was a nice educational area for the kids to learn about the fish and the waterways. Our tour guide was a student who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and about the fish in the river.... More

I bought the Groupon for the glass-bottom boat tour and ended up with a fun activity. The tour is only about a half hour but the tour-guide was very informative and the water beautiful and clear with plenty of fish and turtles to see. We even saw a nutria paddling across the water. Afterwards, we strolled the wetlands trail and... More

My husband and I took a glass bottom boat tour in June and had a great time. The river was full because of recent flooding and we were able to see so many different types of animals. The tour guide was very knowledgable and gave us recommendations on other things we could do in the area. We had a great... More

We took the glass bottom boat tour and we loved it. It can get boring sometimes just looking at the weeds and algae in the bottom but it was an exciting experience. we did see some small fishes. definitely a unique and educational experience.
