Walked like never before!

My wife wanted to go shopping, so I tagged along with her and did plenty of walking. They have good deals on some things and it gets packed. Not my cup of tea, but wife loved it.

If you are a veteran shopper looking for deals, this is the place. This was considered the largest outlet mall of its kind in the US. There are 2 parts: The Tangier part and across the street the Premium Outlets. Take I35 to exit 201 to get to the mall. If it is early (and I suggest you make this... More

The Tanger Outlets here in San Marcos are complete blast. There is a lot of walking to do if you plan on staying on foot, but it is definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

If you're not an avid shopper, the sheer size of this sprawling outlet mall might be overwhelming. Never fear! A courtesy shuttle picks up and drops off at various sites all around the shopping complex. You'll find everything from tools to toys and scarves to shoes. Also plenty of specialty shops. I drove over two hours just to go to... More

If you go to San Marcos, sooner or later you get this overwhelming desire to go to the Tanger Outlets. You see this huge shopping area right beside I-35, and you are virtually compelled to go. In July, my wife and I paid our third visit to this attraction. I always go to the Jos. A. Banks Outlet Store and... More

the stores have great merchandise but the prices can be similar to department stores if you don't work a little. Look for coupons and sales. My family has shopped this outlet mall for years will great results.

Make sure you stop by the office first, by Subway, and get your coupon book. There are so many stores you can't see them all in one day. Our favorite stops were Justice, Hurley and the Disney Store, which was having an amazing sale. It was very hot so we drove around to most of the stores we wanted to... More

There are so many great stores but they are so crowded it is hard to shop. The parking lots and intersections are dangerously busy. They need to install a light between the different sections of the outlet mall. I visited mid day, mid week.
