We did the glass bottom boat tour with my son's cub scout pack. We had so much fun! Our driver was very knowledgable---and hilarious! The boys had a lot of fun. We also did the wetlands walk & a few other activites set up by cub scouts. We had a lot of fun!

Great place to see a natural spring. Still has the old glass bottom boats from when it was a resort. Kids really love seeing the fish and turtles in the water and deer and other wildlife on the banks. The college students providing the tour are very knowledgeable and eager to teach about the history and relevant facts about the... More

So fun - used to do this as a kid - it has changed a bit. Nice short glass bottom boat ride so kids won't get wiggly. Stop by on your way to Austin!

For less than ten dollars a person, you can glide along in a glass bottomed boat, walk along a hiking trail and tour an aquarium. The glass boat allows you to see turtles, fish, and eels gliding along among the springs and plants in the clear water. The cottonwood trees keep it nice and cool, even on the hottest days.... More

A San Marcos classic. What started as an amusement park with mermaid shows and a swimming pig has become a chance to learn about water at its source. Take the glass bottom boat tour to see everything in the water from the bubbling springs to the fish and fauna. Kids will love to see what's in the crystal clear water.... More

We really enjoyed seeing the springs under the lake. It was amazing how clean and clear the water was- it made it so easy to see all the way down to the bottom. When you arrive, you will have to go to the parking kiosk and get a $3 permit since it is university owned. If you Like The Meadows... More

While I can still remember visiting in the early 90s and my husband in the 80s when it use to be Aquarena Springs, I am very pleased with what it has become. Very educational exhibits and boat tour. The best part is looking around at the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake and hearing the birds. Great place to take pictures... More

Check out the boardwalk over the river, very interesting and cool, ride the glass bottom boats, have some Blue Bell ice cream. They have been fixing it up the past few years, no more submarine theatre, tram ride, but the small aquarium is still there at last visit, plus lots of squirrels, and small furry animals too!

You'd have to be a true hick not to appreciate what they've done with the park. Now it is a place for science; education of basic geology, archaeology, anthropology, history and water studies. No, they don't have a swimming pig anymore, but they are definitely dedicated to the preservation of the several endangered/threatened species that live in that particular habitat... More

I have been here on several occasion's. It appears to me that every time I visit I learn something new about this lake. It's very educational and interesting. It's a family orientation tour especially for the kids they will learn something about geology and some history. If you live in Texas this is a great vacation spot....
