The college in San Marcos has taken it over & is turning it back into a natural area. The skyride & tower ride is soon to be removed as is the sunken sub. The shows have since closed as well but is still a nice place to visit. It's a free admission attraction although it's a nominal charge for the... More

Such an awesome place to visit, I used to come to the Aquarena Center as a kid and now I come back as an adult. Hopefully the reconstruction will make the place even better More

We have now been twice. The educational center is very informative and interesting for the waterways of Texas. Exhibits change occassionally keeping it interesting for your next visit. This last time, we took the guided kayak tour. This was a fantastic, leisurely "stroll" on the quiet lake. The life under the water was amazing from the vantage point of being... More

The ride was short but for $10 you can't beat it. Saw a few big fish and the water was clear. Friendly staff. More

We had been here several years ago with our kids and done the glass bottom boats. Now that our kids are old we decided to do the glass bottom kayaks. The trip was great. The kayaks are the sit on style. If you have never kayaked before this is a great place to start. The water was flat with little... More

We've had many field trips here over the years and the kids always enjoy themselves and learn something. We've collected and identified various pond life, seen the springs from the glass bottom boat, taken Native American trip, and visited the great display of live, local aquatic life. We've enjoyed it all over the years. More

Been here to just see what it had to offer. Also displayed my elctric Fiero here at an Earth Day Event. Very interesting and getting more so now that they are taking it back to it's original state. More

Despite the dilapidated remains of some old amusement park structures, this place is fairly well kept for what it is; lots of grass and greenery-an old time park feel to it. It seems to be more of an educational facility/nature center which is apparently operated by the local college. You can walk around for free, but the little cruise in... More

This is a place to go if you kiddos like fishes, boat and the outdoor. We enjoyed our visit there very much even with 100 + weather. You can really see lots of fishes, turtles from the boat and really learn something. More
