We made a special trip to San Angelo to visit Miss Hattie's. We were not disappointed. This authentic bordello has a very unique feel. The linoleum on the floor is original, so are the bed steads. The pink sofa in the client waiting room had been sat on by the real customers of the bordello! Pretty cool stuff. Because the... More

Never thought I would like a brothel museum but I was wrong. It was like stepping back in the 1880's. Loved learning about the area and the history.

What a great museum to see! I love non-traditional places and this was especially special due to not many other museums being like it. The guide was very informative. Entrance was very reasonable, around $6 each and the tour took about 20 minutes. A few of the furnishings were original to the building and the guide did point them out.... More

Ate there at a CHRISTmas party! Very impressed! Food was excellent (I reccomend the catfish)! The waiter was exceptional with attentive, "personal", fast service! Overall, a very pleasant experience with excellent cuisine!!!

We invite you to take a step back in time and tour Miss Hattie's Bordello Museum next time you are downtown. The food is great at the restaurant too! More

Our guide let us wander in and out of the rooms, like to go at my own pace. Price not bad, about $6.00 each. Steep stairs though.

Surpsising highlight of our tri - the museum is a time capsule of the era. Not a reconstruction - this is essentially as the bordello was 1900s. Fun to see and great stories about the house. Entry is thru a jewelry stores on the main street of town.

Fun, worth the $6 admission. Nice to be able to walk into the rooms instead of peering in from the doorways. Hard to imagine it as appealing to male customers back in the day, but they probably weren't critiquing the intereor decoration! Our guide was very nice and laid-back, willing to discuss the history but not force-feeding us.

A fun way to spend about an hour or so. We had a great guide who share some really interesting stories about the women who actually lived and worked here. The stories were varied and really helped us to see them as real women with real struggles. I was surprised at the amount of original items including furniture and the... More

That is, if you want to get your history on. Not for that other reason! I've been here a couple of times. Different tour guides have different stories and ways of telling them about this historical landmark. Definitely something to see if you are in the area and are interested in the way real folks had to make their way... More
