perfect for small children as the waves are very small and the water is very shallow. Have a great playground on the beach as well.

The Rockport Beach Park is the best beach in the Rockport but I have seen much better beaches in Texas. The beach needed some cleanup. There was lots of seaweed. If you are looking for nice seashells, this is not the beach for you.

We were there for a desination wedding: wedding ceremony on the beach followed by catered dinner in the saltwater pavillion. Beautiful location. Bathrooms need to be updated/cleaned/painted.

We truly enjoyed the shallow water for our young kids. The water was clear and not full of algae. It didn't get crowded until Saturday but that was expected with many people enjoying Spring Beach. We parked in the free area and had a great time. Everyone was very friendly and everyone cleaned up after themselves. It was also nice... More

We paid and drove in the first time as we didn't know what all it offered, but on a return visit, we parked outside the gate and walked in from the pet-friendly area. The birds were so loud! Fun to listen to and observe for awhile. Not busy on the chilly day we walked and sat to read on the... More

You have to pay $5 just to drive out the short road- even if you don't stop. We have going there for 40 years- taken our kids there. Now the snowbirds have ruined it and tried to make it "Not Family Friendly".

I never through the idea of pouring sand on the shore of an enclosed bay was a good idea. But, for the most part, it works at Rockport. During the winter, the park has few people -- even when the temperature was a sunny 80 degrees on a Presidents' Day weekend. So, the park practically is yours. The kids (all... More

Local beach right off the main strip and hotels, it was very quiet when we visited. Only a few people on the beach, and a great place to watch the sunset on the beach. $5 admission to get in, lots of restroom facilities.

It has a beautiful long beach you can walk out a long way before you are in deep water ,it would be great for kids or a poor swimmer like me they have bathrooms close and I think they are remodeling a restaurant which should be open soon
